dear expectant mother

We know this is a confusing and difficult time for you while you are trying to figure out the best option for you and your precious baby.

We hope you feel supported and loved no matter where you are in your journey. We admire you so much for considering adoption.
If you decide to make an adoption plan with us, we want to assure you we will respect you and whatever level of openness and contact you want to have with your child. Your child will know your decision was heartfelt and difficult and how much you love them.

We currently have a great relationship with our current adopted son’s mom and would love to have the same with our second child’s mom if that’s what you want. Your child will always have an understanding and appreciation for the tremendous sacrifice you made out of love.

We promise to cherish and love your child with all our hearts and souls and to raise them in a loving, supportive environment with a sense of humor, surrounded by friends and family, and with a life with every opportunity possible.

More than anything, we want you to know we will love your child unconditionally and will nurture him or her to grow up to be the best person they can be. We promise to provide an upbringing with values such as generosity, kindness, and respect for others. We also promise to encourage your child’s hopes and dreams and to provide the best education possible.

About Us

During our nine-year marriage, we have lived in California but did spend two years in Okinawa, Japan. Megan works from home full time, and Nate works as a civilian on one of the military bases which gives us a lot of flexibility to spend time together as a family. We've had so much fun seeing our adopted 2 year old son grow up. We love to travel and explore other cultures and food; and have knocked out 23 countries together, and our son Jacob already has 2 countries on his list from our trip to Germany and Belgium last summer. We believe it’s important to see the world and learn about different cultures to understand the importance and value of diversity, and we can’t wait to share this with our children. We love to hang out with friends, host and cook meals at our house, be outdoors by visiting parks, hiking, or catching a baseball game on the weekends.

Our Home & Pets

We want the best environment for our children, and because of that, we moved into a nice, quiet suburb with highly rated school systems. We want our kids to have every opportunity to succeed in life and to support them in any way we can. Our house has four bedrooms and a big backyard and pool. We are in a neighborhood with lots of kids and often have neighborhood hangouts on the weekends and BBQ together over holiday weekends. Our house is also located in an area with multiple parks and walking trails that we utilize every week with our friends and their kids. We also have a few close family friends in the area who are just starting their families, so it’s been fun raising our kids together. We currently have two dogs, Vader and Moana, who are both Dachshund Chihuahua mixes and love to play with Jacob.

Our Extended Family

Nate’s family consists of his mom and his two older sisters. One sister lives in Upstate New York and has four kids with her husband. His other sister lives near his mom and only about 30 minutes away from Megan’s parents. She also has four kids with her husband, so our kids have lots of cousins to play with! Nate also has family in Washington we’re close with. His aunt and two uncles all have big families of their own, and his aunt adopted three girls from China.

Megan’s family consists of her mom and dad, who are still together after 37 years, and her younger sister. Her parents live about six hours away, but we see them for every holiday, usually do a vacation or two together during the year, and try to attend at least one Giants baseball game together. Our most recent trips as a family were to Hawaii in December and May, and a trip to Europe last summer. Her sister recently moved to Denver, CO and is a nurse at a children's hospital. She is obsessed with her nephew, Jacob, and visits frequently as well as multiple Facetime calls throughout the week. She can’t wait to spoil another niece or nephew.

Our Adoption Story

We always knew we wanted to have children together, and adoption has always been in our plan. We learned a few years ago we were not able to have biological children, so that just meant we had the opportunity and privilege to adopt more children than planned. On Leap Day 2020, our lives changed forever with the arrival of our son, Jacob. We have loved every minute of having him in our lives and can’t wait to add a sibling to the mix and create more fun memories together as a family. We'd be blessed to have any child of any race or gender join our family.
