dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

Thank you for considering creating an adoption plan and considering us for this amazing gift. You would make our dreams come true. We cannot possibly understand the feelings or emotions you are probably experiencing, but we want to assure you that we are here for you every step of the way. Your baby will be so loved. This baby is already so loved by us, our families, our friends, our coworkers, our church family, and even strangers we get to tell. Your baby will be the shining light for so many.

We know this is a difficult decision, and we applaud you for considering the most unselfish choice a mother could ever make. We would be forever grateful to you if you allow us to have the family we have always wished and hoped for. Your decision could fill a void in our home we are not able to fill ourselves. For that, we are eternally indebted. Nothing we can do or say will ever explain the gratitude we have for you. Your baby is already so lucky to come from you.

We feel so blessed to have this opportunity. If you choose us, we promise to make sure your baby always knows he or she has a home filled with love, honesty, and trust. We will do our best to make sure your baby always feels the love we already feel. We can’t wait to meet your baby!

Love,
Melissa & Adam

We would be forever grateful to you if you allow us to have the family we have always wished and hoped for. Your decision could fill a void in our home we are not able to fill ourselves.

About Us

We are both very outgoing people with a good sense of humor. We try not to take life too seriously because life is a gift we do not intend on wasting. We are hard workers and excel in our careers, but the careers we love are jobs, not our lives. What we cherish is quality time, meaningful conversations, a good game on TV (or in person if we are lucky), or a really funny movie. When Melissa met Adam, she asked a mutual friend what she knew about him. The first thing she said was “Adam would give a stranger the shirt off his back.” To this day, that statement is true. Each day, we try to be better than we were the day before. We hope to instill this in our children.

Our Home & Pets

We feel so blessed to be born and raised in Texas! We live in a big, diverse city that is continuing to grow and develop. We are just about an hour drive from the hill country or beach. We live in a family-oriented neighborhood with a huge field in the back where kids can play and dogs can be walked. It is the same field we both grew up having behind us as children. We have one amazingly sweet dog named Molly. Molly is a nine-year-old mixed shih tzu/chihuahua who is not spoiled at all. We recently had an addition to our family, a cat named Miles. Miles is adventurous and cuddly. He loves annoying his big sister, Molly.

Our Extended Family

We are lucky enough to be very close to our families. Melissa has three older brothers who all live in Texas, with her parents just a few miles away. Adam has a younger sister who travels all over (she will definitely be the “cool” aunt), and his parents live a few miles away as well.

We love getting together to celebrate family birthdays and holidays. Sometimes we get together on a random Saturday evening just to catch up. We have a niece who is nine years old and a nephew who is six years old. They both can’t wait to meet their new cousin!

What Led Us To Adoption

When we first started dating, we talked about wanting to start a family. Years down the road, we found out starting a family the “traditional” way was not an option for us. We immediately knew adoption was the right way for us. We believe a family does not have to always be the one you are born into or share the same genes. Family is about love and commitment, and that is exactly what we can provide to your baby: love and commitment.
