State we live in: Colorado

dear expectant mother

Thank you for considering us as you search for the perfect family for your child. We will never be able to fully appreciate how difficult of a decision you are facing, and we hope our profile offers a view into how much we’ll be able to love your child.

We both fondly remember our own childhoods, and we will use this foundation to create a loving home for your child. We cannot wait to begin to build new traditions with your child when she or he joins our family. Whether these traditions are annual camping trips (moving from the backyard to the mountains), summer trips to Grandma and Grandpa’s to chase and catch fireflies, carving pumpkins and going trick-or-treating as a family, or going to the Christmas market to pick out the family ornament and then going ice skating, we will raise your child to know she or he is loved, supported, and a true part of our family.

Thank you again for considering us. You could make our dream of expanding our family become a reality. Your act of generosity is a true blessing, and we cannot thank you enough for this amazing opportunity.

About Us

We met in 2018 and instantly knew we were beginning a lifelong journey together! Our connection only grew deeper after we started hanging out at home more, which was when Mike discovered how well Erik can cook. When Erik discovered how Mike could make him laugh, even when he was in a bad mood, he knew he wanted to keep cooking for him. Mike works in financial services, and Erik works in regulatory affairs for a small natural cleaning supply company. We both enjoy creating memories and sharing new experiences, whether visiting a new farmers market, going to a new museum, or Erik convincing Mike to try a new vegetable. We also enjoy downtime at our house and taking advantage of the natural beauty Colorado offers year round.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a suburban home across from a bustling, beautiful park with a creek and trails running through it. It’s a four-bedroom, three-bathroom home with a beautiful yard where we like to garden and have friends over for cookouts. There’s plenty of space for laying in the hammock, putting in a swing set, or camping in our tent. We rely on our very loving and rambunctious dog Cooper, who loves to defend our yard from trespassing squirrels when we’re not taking him on walks by the creek.

Our Extended Family

Our extended family plays a big role in our lives. Mike’s parents and brother live in Tennessee; they come out to visit us several times a year, and we enjoy heading to Tennessee to see them as well. We know they will be visiting more often once we expand our family. Erik’s parents live close by and can’t wait for a grandchild to play with and spoil.

We have started several new family traditions we hope to share with your child! For the Fourth of July, we go to a Colorado Rockies game and watch the fireworks from the field. We spend Thanksgiving with Erik’s family. At Christmas, Mike’s family comes out to visit, and we will go to the local Christmas market to ice skate and select our new Christmas ornament to hang on our tree. We enjoy decorating the house, both inside and out, to create a festive mood. We close out the year with a relaxing New Year’s Eve, where our goal is to make it to 10 p.m. so we can see the ball drop in New York.

What Led Us To Adoption

When we first met, we talked about wanting to adopt as a way to expand our family. As our close friends begin to have children, we know this is the right time for us to begin our adoption journey. We view our home as a loving place where we will create an environment for your child to be herself or himself. We are greatly looking forward to becoming parents! Whether it’s ballet, baseball, or book club, we will always support your child’s passions.
