Family Type: Lesbian Couple
State We live in: Montana

dear expectant mother

We want to thank you for considering us as potential parents for your child. Words cannot express the gratitude we feel at your display of love, selflessness, and courage as you make this choice. Building our family with your help would be an absolute dream come true!

If you choose us, from the moment your child is laid in our arms, they will be met with love. Your child will grow up feeling valued, cherished, and supported every day of their life and encouraged to be their truest self. We understand they will face struggles and moments of uncertainty, but they’ll find open communication, safety, and security in us no matter what. Their adoption story will be shared from day one and proudly spoken about with friends, family, and anyone we meet.

Above all, we want your child to feel confident in their identity and where they came from so they can take that and have a positive impact on the world. To help your child develop into who they are meant to be, they will be encouraged to participate in all things family and try out activities and sports to find what brings them joy. They will also be raised to appreciate the beauty of diversity and culture, the value of education, the art of responsibility, and how to always treat others with kindness and respect. Intermingled with that, we guarantee there will be lots of memory making, laughter, and fur baby kisses!

Building our family with your help would be an absolute dream come true!

About Us

We both grew up in Washington State. In 2016 we met online and then officially in a coffee shop a short time later. Rachel had just moved back to Washington after teaching second graders in Georgia, and Miranda was working with genetics at a research institute. After connecting on our core values, life goals, love for children and pets, close-knit families, and dedication for each other, we got married in November 2018. Rachel has worked with children of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds for many years and is getting her counseling master’s with a child specialization. Miranda continues to thrive in the science and medical field as a histotechnician and loves what she does. We enjoy visiting national parks, aquariums, and beaches and exploring new places. We can’t wait to go adventuring and make new memories with our future son or daughter!

Our Home & Pets

We live in a two-bath, three-bedroom apartment in a friendly, family-oriented neighborhood that’s a short walk away from a dog park and Little League baseball fields. We are minutes away from restaurants, family-owned shops, museums, and schools. As we live in Montana, we are also within a couple hour’s drive of several state and national parks. Our home includes our three fur babies—our two cats, Ziva and Minshew, and our rescue dog, Pixie. All three of them love to cuddle and play together. They are all great around little ones. Pixie especially loves teaching younger kiddos how to go down the slide and play on the playground!

Our Extended Family

Miranda is the oldest with two brothers, and Rachel is the second oldest of four sisters. Family is an incredibly important aspect in our lives. We both grew up in families filled with love and laughter and will instill this into your child as well. To us, this means having family movie and game nights and celebrating big events and milestones. It’s carrying on traditions like Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner with our families, where we eat wonderful food and share in each other’s company. It’s getting together during football season and cheering on our favorite teams, even if they are opposite, and still congratulating each other on the win at the end. Our families are incredibly excited to share in our adoption journey with us, and we are so thankful to have Miranda’s parents and her younger brother and his family in Montana. We also have a host of coworkers and neighbors who have added themselves to our village of love and support.

We are so excited to share our traditions with your child! These were such big parts of our childhoods, and we want our future son or daughter to share in the same joy.

What Led Us To Adoption

Even before we got married, we both knew we wanted to adopt a child. We have each been touched by adoption with Rachel and Miranda’s mother both being adoptees. Rachel connected with her biological family in 2009 and has a great relationship with her birthmother and half-brother. Both her adoptive and biological families know each other and get along really well, and we value the amount of love, care, and acceptance she has received. In the same way, we want to provide a loving and safe environment for a child to freely express who they are and become who they are meant to be.
