my adoption profile

Family Type: Single Heterosexual Woman
State I live in: California

dear expectant mother

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Words cannot describe how grateful I am to you for considering me. I am profoundly in awe of your love, strength, courage, and sacrifice as you consider an adoption plan. I want you to know I understand what a blessing it will be to raise a child. I will not take your decision for granted should you choose me, and I promise you your child will be raised in a safe, loving, and supportive home.

I will make it my life’s passion to ensure your child has a solid family foundation where love, education, kindness, community, and compassion are guiding principles. Your child will always be my greatest priority and will be supported and loved unconditionally. Your child will grow up having Lola for a best friend and protector. I know they will be the best cookie-making and pillow-fort buddies.

I cannot wait to take a child on trips to explore sights, cultures, and natural wonders. I look forward to teaching a child to always look for new possibilities and to enjoy life’s simple pleasures. Your child’s life will be filled with wonder, knowledge, and curiosity so they may have the confidence to accomplish anything they endeavor.

I am so excited to have the opportunity to provide a life of love, laughter, education, and travel for a child. If you choose me, I promise to honor your gift, and I hope God grants you strength and peace on your journey.

About Me

I am an intelligent, confident, family-oriented woman who strives to always live in positivity and kindness. I live on the West Coast and work at a college in the same town I’ve lived in since the sixth grade. My family and friends are my world and keep me grounded. Education and community service are so important to me as they connect me with myself and others. It’s why I work in education, helping students achieve their goals and graduate. I love to have fun in many different ways. I love to bake, cook, read, explore trails with the pup, and knit. I try to travel as much as possible, whether for a short trip a few hours away or internationally. I’ve visited seven countries so far and hope to visit more in the future with a child. I enjoy learning about astronomy and have taken classes in ceramics, knitting, painting, and photography.

My Home & Pets

My home is a warm and cozy two-bedroom condo opposite a one-acre park. It is bright, with lots of windows and soft touches everywhere. There’s a bedroom with a whole wall of books and a patio garden for your child to explore. I live in a very safe city with lakes, nature trails, restaurants, and schools within walking distance. It’s a short drive to beaches, mountains, amusement parks, shops, and museums. Your child will enjoy exploring the outdoors here. There are froglets, baby birds, and wildflowers everywhere in the spring. My eight-year-old dog, Lola, is part cuddlebug and part goofball. Lola adores kids and is so gentle and patient with them. I have wonderful neighbors with kids who love playing with her.

My Extended Family

I have a wonderfully large, close-knit, and boisterous family. There are over 50 of us (and growing) who all live near each other. My immediate family lives just a few minutes away from me. My entire family is so excited for me to adopt! Your child will be one of our most treasured blessings, and they can’t wait to have a new baby to dote on. We get together all the time for dinners, bbqs, and celebrations. My family loves to cook, so holidays and get-togethers always include lots of food, hugs, and laughter.

Our family has an annual Christmas Eve tradition. We go to our favorite Italian restaurant (no cooking for all the aunts) and then have a dessert extravaganza at my parents’ home. My cousins and I have our Secret Santa gift exchange, where we announce who our giftees are with a warm, heartfelt introduction. We love making Christmas Eve extra special for our youngest. Your child will be given a gift of their own to open that was a special delivery by Santa and his elves. We play games all evening, including a white elephant gift exchange with lots of deal making, gift swapping, and jokes.

What Led Me To Adoption

I grew up with families grown through adoption and have students who were adopted themselves. Throughout my personal and professional experiences, I’ve been privileged to see how love builds a family. I have always known children were meant to be a cherished part of my life and can’t think of a greater joy than sharing my heart with a child. I am godmother to my brother’s children and my best friend’s son. They are such wonderful souls, and it has been a joy watching them grow up. Coming from a large family where children are always running around and being with my niece and nephews has made me realize this is the right time to be a mom to a special little one.
