dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

We want to start by sincerely thanking you from the bottom of our hearts for considering us to love, nurture, protect, and support your baby. We understand this is a difficult journey you have embarked on, but your courage, love, and compassion do not go unnoticed. We admire you very much!

We are excited beyond measure to become moms and raise a little one. If you choose us, we promise to love your baby unconditionally through every moment of their life. We will provide an environment built on trust and support so they know they can always count on us. We will encourage your child every step of the way and let them know that not even the sky is the limit; we will have their back and help them achieve their goals. We will raise your child with kindness, love, patience, and respect and teach your child to be respectful, responsible, and kind.

Adoption is something we have carefully thought about, and we want you to know that if chosen, we will provide a happy, safe, loving, stable, and laughter-filled home surrounded by the sweetest family and friends. We admire you and want to thank you again for taking the time to read our letter. We have so much love to give, and we hope you will consider us to adopt your precious baby. We would be forever grateful.

Sincerely,
Nidia and Abby

About Us

We are an incredibly fun-loving, devoted couple with a 16-year-old miniature poodle named Grizzly. We have been together since 2013 and married since 2015. Abby is an adjunct professor at a local university with a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a Leadership Concentration. She is patient, confident, and kind-hearted and loves to read and dance. Nidia is a Ph.D. who works in human resources, and in her downtime, she loves relaxing in her hammock or making a collage. She is sweet, generous, and the jokester of the family. We enjoy traveling and exploring new places in our city. We are enthusiastic about culture and the arts, whether it is going to the symphony, jazz concert, musical, festival, or museum. We also like trying different restaurants but also love ordering pizza for dinner. When we stay in, we watch movies or do yard work. Our routine after work consists of cooking dinner, playing board games, or going for a walk.

Our Home & Pets

Our home is situated in a quiet, diverse neighborhood surrounded by gorgeous trees. There are always families walking throughout the day and children riding their bicycles. We have a large backyard, perfect for playing sports, running around, birdwatching, cooking out, or simply enjoying the nice weather. Nearby is a community center that we attend daily to exercise, swim during the summer, and maintain connections with the community. We love that we are near parks, restaurants, museums, and family-friendly places to explore. The school district is recognized as one of the best and has international schools where the students learn about different cultures and languages. We have a 15-year-old miniature poodle, Grizzly, who is quite the character, and we love him very much.

Our Extended Family

Abby grew up with an older sister and loving parents. She was close to her paternal grandmother and aunts. Nidia grew up with her parents and an older brother. She was close to both grandparents and her extended family. Her parents divorced later, and her mother remarried, introducing two wonderful step-brothers who are an amazing part of the family.

Family and friends are very important to us, and we enjoy quality time together. Since we are not in the same state, we consistently communicate through FaceTime or Alexa. We even have virtual game nights and dinner! We look forward to visiting our families and friends throughout the year.

Our traditions include visiting pumpkin patches and giving out candy on Halloween. We run the Turkey Trot with our best friends, and the night before, we have Friendsgiving dinner. We have Thanksgiving dinner with Abby’s family, where she bakes a scrumptious carrot cake and makes stuffing using her grandmother’s recipes. Christmas is a big deal for us! We convert our home to a Christmas wonderland, attend virtual midnight Mass, and on Christmas, we are with either family or sometimes both! We cannot wait to welcome a child to our family and traditions!

What Led Us To Adoption

We’ve always dreamed about starting a family. After we got married and as our love kept growing, so did our desire to provide unconditional love and a warm home to a baby. We researched several options, but after seeing our friends two moms raising their daughter and seeing firsthand how truly wonderful adoption is, we knew adoption was the right choice for us. Because our marriage is based on trust, understanding, love, and encouraging one another to pursue our goals, we want to provide the same for a child. They will thrive, feel worthy, be capable, and be unconditionally loved! We are excited to become moms and look forward to sharing our loving, fun, and happy life with a child.
