dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

We thank you for reading our profile and considering our family to welcome your baby. We realize this can be a difficult time with a tough decision and appreciate your consideration.

We want you to know we are ready to raise a child with unconditional love in a home filled with games, traditions, music, and laughter. We have great jobs, a spacious home, close-knit friends and family, and a strong, loving relationship. We are deeply devoted to each other and to raising a child in a stable, happy home. As a gay married couple, we have always wanted kids but were not fortunate to be able to create any ourselves. We want you to know we will always be open to answering any questions about you when your child asks about the brave and loving mom who allowed us to become fathers.

We look forward to meeting you, learning about your values, and sharing in the hopes for your child. With this gift of life you can give us, we will forever be grateful. A child in our home will grow up engaged with music, dancing, and friends from all walks of life.

Thank you again for your consideration. Please be at peace knowing your child will be in good hands with us.

We want you to know we are ready to raise a child with unconditional love in a home filled with games, traditions, music, and laughter.

About Us

We are a fun-loving couple who make the most out of life. From hosting friends and family for dinner parties and game nights to quiet nights at home, we love spending time together. Nate is the sensitive, outgoing social butterfly, while Patrick is the stoic rock of the relationship with a song in his heart that comes out in singing and dancing. We both work at home in different parts of the healthcare industry, aiming to make the world a healthier place. Patrick works as a project manager, keeping teams on track to release exciting new products. Nate is a biologist who works as a consultant in a small team to help new companies bring drugs to market. We enjoy trying new recipes (not always with success), going out to concerts, and maybe catching a new show in town.

Our Home & Pets

We recently moved to Nevada from California so we could have more space and grow our family. With friendly and diverse neighbors, we live in a great community to raise a child of any race. Our home has three bedrooms and bathrooms along with a den and plenty of space for family and friends. We are working on plans to landscape the backyard and create a wonderful place for a child to play. We live blocks from a school and have many parks within walking distance. Our town has multiple sports teams, concert venues, restaurants, and attractions for families plus many outdoor activities, such as hiking and rock climbing.

Our Extended Family

Patrick has two brothers who live in Northern California who look forward to being uncles and a mother in central California who is excited to have her first grandchild to shower with love and support. Patrick has a small and tight-knit group of cousins from both sides.

Nate comes from a larger family, with two brothers and a sister who are spread around the country. Nate’s parents live close to his sister and often spend time with her family. We love seeing our nieces and nephew, especially at Christmastime.

Both families love Christmas! Patrick works to get the tree up and decorated the day after Thanksgiving, often hosting friends for a tree decorating party where they can eat leftovers and the kids can decorate the tree. Patrick’s Christmas party is well known among friends and family for its fun gift exchange. Nate’s side of the family comes together every holiday season to celebrate by decorating cutout sugar cookies in fun frosting colors, cooking large meals together, and then digesting their dinner on the couch while watching their favorite Christmas movies (especially National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation).

What Led Us To Adoption

We both have always wanted to be parents and have a family of our own. We have enjoyed spending time with our nieces and nephew as well as our friends’ children. Before we even got married, we discussed our hopes and dreams of growing old in a house filled with love and laughter. Patrick has had a dream of becoming a stay-at-home dad! To make this dream a reality, we decided adoption was the best path forward for us. Nate’s aunt and uncle, who lived next door to him, adopted two kids to expand their family, and he always saw the joy those two kids brought to their lives. We look forward to having our own joyous adoption experience.
