Family Type: Gay
State we live in: Iowa

dear expectant mother

We would like to thank you for considering us for this opportunity to be your child’s future parents. We are so excited to get to know you! We already respect and admire you for your strength, courage, and selflessness and for making loving decisions in this extremely delicate and emotional situation. If you choose us, your baby will grow up knowing how much you love them, and you will always be an important part of our family.

We both have so much love to give a child; you will experience that for yourself the first time we meet. We have a beautiful home in a lovely neighborhood and an amazing support system of family and friends—so rest assured your child would grow up in a safe, secure, happy environment. If you choose us as the adoptive parents for your child, we promise to guide and support them into becoming a loving and respectful person. Just know we want nothing but the best for your child and promise to love them unconditionally.

We are eager to build a relationship with you, however you desire that to look. You would be giving us the greatest gift anyone could ever hope for, so we are more than willing to be flexible and accommodate your wishes for your involvement in our lives. Thank you for considering us; we look forward to beginning our parenthood journey with you!

We were put on this earth to be dads, and when that happens, we will be complete.

About Us

We are Preston and Mark. We have been together for three years and married for a year and a half. Preston is a senior project manager at an ad agency, and Mark is an electrician. We also co-own, manage, and work a cattle farm that’s been in Preston’s family for over 150 years! Every day is an adventure for us. We love spending our evenings and weekends together, whether we’re biking, going to church, visiting family, watching football, playing volleyball, walking our dogs, or playing and working on the farm.

Our Home & Pets

Our beautiful home has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and two living spaces, which is perfect for our future family and our lifestyle. We have a private and spacious backyard for our dogs, Beef and Brisket, to enjoy, and we live in a child-filled neighborhood with an elementary school a block away and a huge park within walking distance. We love hosting our friends and family during holidays and impromptu game watches.

Our Extended Family

We are incredibly lucky to have parents and family who support us, love us, and want the best for us. We feel that every day with our families. Our parents and siblings are extremely excited to be grandparents, aunts, and uncles, and they’re excited for us to become dads. We joke all the time about how our moms would drop everything at a moment’s notice to spend time with our future child.

Mark comes from a large family on both sides, with multiple cousins all around the same age. They are a tight-knit group, and we always enjoy our family gatherings with them. Preston’s family has a family dinner every Sunday evening, when we chat about the past week and make plans for the new one. We have several traditions with holidays and birthday celebrations for both our families. Each set of parents lives 20 minutes away, which keeps us close. We look forward to our future child being so loved, adored, and cared for by our families.

What Led Us To Adoption

We started talking about adoption after our third date! We both wanted to be fathers, and we both knew adoption was the route we wanted to pursue. In fact, when we got married, we asked our loved ones to contribute to our adoption fund in lieu of wedding gifts! We have so much to offer a child—unconditional love, a happy and healthy homelife, a strong faith and passion for social justice, and a community of supportive family and friends. We were put on this earth to be dads, and when that happens, we will be complete.
