dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your consideration of making us parents. We see your strength, bravery, and selflessness in this decision. While we can’t predict the future, we do know some things for certain: Your child will be loved, cherished, and in a supportive and safe environment surrounded by our tribe of family and friends. We promise to always show up for them; to always support them mentally, emotionally, and spiritually through all of the chapters of their life; and to always encourage them, helping them become the best version of themselves.

We know you haven’t come to this decision lightly, and whatever brought you here to reading our profile, we hope something resonates for you to reach out and learn more.

Adopting a child would truly be life changing for both of us. We are blessed to have a beautiful home, stable life, and supportive family and would love to give a child a loving and safe home. We have so much love to give and would love the opportunity to start a family.

Your child will be loved, cherished, and in a supportive and safe environment surrounded by our tribe of family and friends.

-Rachel & Briana

About Us

Our love story began six years ago, and the spark has remained strong ever since we first met. We are down to earth with big hearts and so much love to give. Rachel is naturally hilarious, creative, and ambitious, and Briana is nurturing, intuitive, and passionate. Our individual attributes and personalities complement one another. For example, while Briana can initially be shy, Rachel is more gregarious. While Rachel descended from a long line of people who cannot cook, Briana creates culinary masterpieces with ease. We enjoy having friends over for game night, going to concerts and comedy shows, outdoor adventuring, and traveling. Briana has been a holistic esthetician for 20 years, and Rachel has been self-employed for eight years, working from home and running a small digital marketing agency. Both of our careers allow for a large degree of flexibility, which helps us tailor our work schedules to our family needs.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a family neighborhood and have a spacious four-bedroom, three-bath home with plenty of room to start a family. We share our home with our nine-year-old dog, Zoe, a mixed-breed Rachel adopted. Our central location gives us the opportunity to get out of the city for a day of exploring or relaxation and is relatively close to lakes, mountains, and deserts as well as parks, museums, and zoos. Life in our household is filled with lots of laughter, love, and spontaneous singing and dancing (usually while cooking or cleaning the house). We both have a silly side and enjoy having fun and laughing together. Rachel has lovingly been nicknamed “happy feet” for when her dance moves really get going.

Our Extended Family

We have multiple family traditions, including yearly family and friend trips. One trip we do every July is with Briana’s whole family—parents, her siblings, their spouses, and children—and we’ve been blessed to visit destinations like Canada, Italy, and Spain. In addition to spending quality time with family and friends, traveling also allows us to explore our adventurous side through tandem parasailing, ziplining, and soaking in the diverse cultures and culinary experiences. Other family or friend traditions include pool days, BBQs, game nights, and living room dance parties.

Briana is the oldest of four children, and Rachel comes from a blended family of three brothers and one sister. The majority of Briana’s family lives in the Southwest, on the West Coast, and in Canada. Rachel’s family spans both coasts and even South Africa and Germany. Between both families, there are lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

What Led Us To Adoption

We’ve been together since 2015, and married since 2018, and starting a family was always important to us. Due to fertility issues, neither of us could have kids naturally. Even if we did, we always discussed adopting a child in addition to having one since Rachel was really impacted by her aunt and uncle adopting their child 26 years ago. Rachel saw firsthand how adoption could positively impact the future of a child.
