We cannot wait to develop a lifetime of memories with upcoming holidays, family vacations, and our many beach trips. There are a multitude of traditions we are so eager to share with your baby, from decorating Christmas cookies to racing through the yard with their cousins on Easter egg hunts. We will share all the bedtime stories, knowledge, and unwavering love we possess to guide and mold them into the happiest, healthiest, and most well-rounded person they can be.

About Us

We are in a loving and committed relationship with each other and have been together for six years, happily married for a year and a half. Rebecca is a registered nurse on the nephrology unit at the local hospital, and Andrew works as a stormwater supervisor for the city. Andrew enjoys being outdoors, hiking, fishing, working on his motorcycle, and reading. Rebecca enjoys reading, drawing, hiking, and DIY projects. Together we enjoy exercising, walking the beach with our pups, spending time with friends and family, vacationing in the mountains, decorating for holidays, and hosting BBQs. We are competitive and love to play board games/cards with the family as well as make sidewalk chalk masterpieces with our nieces and nephews.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a three-bedroom, two-bath home with a large backyard in a small housing development. We have two loving dogs: a five-year-old dachshund named Cooper and a two- year-old pit mix named Luna. Cooper loves going to the beach and digging holes in the sand to bury his favorite ball. His favorite game is fetch. We adopted Luna from a shelter. Her favorite activity is to cuddle, with her second favorite activity being tug of war. Luna loves meeting strangers; she sees each of them as her long-lost best friend.

Our Extended Family

We both have large families, with Rebecca's mother being one of ten and her father being one of eight. Rebecca has one older sister with four children. Andrew’s family is slightly smaller, with his mother being one of five and his father being one of four. Andrew has one older brother, who has three children.

We currently live in a different state than most of our family but travel home as often as we can. We have a lot of traditions that were passed down and new ones since our families have merged. For Easter, we enjoy helping to hide Easter eggs for the children and watching them race through the yard. During Thanksgiving, we have meals at our parents’ house followed by helping the Elf on a Shelf deliver Christmas PJs to our nieces and nephews. We like to spend Christmas exchanging gifts as well as watching Santa and Pete on Christmas Eve. We both love to decorate the house for Christmas, which we usually do in our Christmas pajamas. We look forward to sharing our traditions and creating many more with a baby.

What Led Us To Adoption

We were led to adoption after a long, hard road with infertility. Adoption has given us new hope for starting our family. We began the discussion knowing Andrew’s best friend was adopted as a baby. We have witnessed firsthand the bond and love he and his family share. This relationship helped to reinforce our decision that we could provide a loving, caring, and supportive relationship with our future child.
