Thank you for taking a moment to get to know us. The gravity of the decisions you will be making is not lost on us. We hope and pray you get the support and love you need to get you through as you make these decisions. Words cannot express our admiration for you as you go through this process. Having said that, we are happy to be by your side or give you space if you need. We know most hopeful parents make beautiful videos for expectant moms to watch and get to know them better. However, we are very private about our lives, and didn’t feel comfortable putting a video on a public platform. On that same note, we do not plan to post pictures to social media.
We have decided on a private platform to update family, friends, and you (if you wish to see pictures regularly). We are happy to set aside time to chat or video call with you if you would like to ask us anything or get to know us better. Our hearts, home, and family are so eager and excited for this next stage in our lives. We know we are incredibly blessed. Bringing a baby into our lives wouldn’t be filling a void; it would be adding to the home and family we’ve created and love so dearly. We look forward to watching and helping our future baby grow and will encourage them every step of the way. We are not naive to think things will always be perfect, but we have supported and walked each other through so many challenging moments in our lives that we know we’ll make a good team as parents. If there are things you would like us to share with this child, we are happy to do so whether it’s a specific culture or faith.

We were set up on a blind date in 2013 and haven’t wanted to be apart ever since. Engagement happened in 2014 and we got married at Disneyland in 2015! We lived outside of Fort Worth, Texas for almost four years but then moved to Dallas when work opportunities presented for both of us in 2018. Our dogs, Aston Martin and Maserati, have been along for the ride and just bring more love, cuddles, and laughs to our family every day. We love our similarities and work to embrace our differences. Being first-generation born and raised Americans, we love mixing our own unique culture into our everyday lives as well as sharing cultural differences with friends and family. Documentaries, museum trips, and outdoor neighborhood activities are our norm. We’re both readers and enjoy our quiet time at home, but every once in a while, we’ll have a movie night. Our work schedules are staggered to minimize the (hopefully) future need for childcare. Meal planning and prep take place every Sunday, so that we manage our free time/family time efficiently.
Our home is a duplex in a great neighborhood. There are a lot of walking trails and playgrounds throughout the subdivision. Along with a bright kitchen, dining, and living room, there is a small formal room we use as an office. Our dogs, Aston Martin and Maserati, always give us a good reason to stop and take a break to step outside and get fresh air. They are so loving, and they enjoy napping while we sit quietly and read.
Both of Reema’s parents came to the U. S. as young adults. They settled in Texas and opened their own medical supply business that is still in the family. Her older brother runs the day-to-day operations and is slowly taking it over. He, his wife, and their son live five minutes from Reema’s parents and enjoy weekly visits. Reema’s nephew has a bright, happy, carefree personality. He’s always a joy to be around, and he would love to have a cousin! Since they all live about 4 hours away from Reema and Faheem, visits to them come a few times a year. Thanksgiving and Christmas are usually with them. Reema grew up learning about different faiths and cultures and would love to share this interest with a child as her parents did with her. She feels it’s important for them to have a wide view of the world as well as what their own background is.
Faheem’s parents came to Texas in their twenties for a better life for themselves. When a business opportunity came up in 1989, they took little Faheem on a journey north to a little town outside Chicago. In 2001, their family, with Faheem and his little sister, Samira, moved back to Texas. Reema is the big sister Samira always wanted, and his parents love Reema like a daughter. Everyone lives within 20 minutes of each other, so visits happen weekly. His parents own a small business in Dallas, Texas and are very active in their place of worship. Faheem’s family has an infinite amount of love to give. Any time they get to watch Aston Martin and Maserati, the dogs get extremely spoiled! Imagine how they’ll love a grandchild!
We have always known adoption would be the only way we wanted to grow our family. It was never a question for us. Our hearts have always been set on this path for the next stage of our lives. Our families have such big hearts and are ready to give love and support to a child regardless of gender or race. We, along with our families, are ready to share endless hugs, laughs, and love as our family grows.
