dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mom,

The choice you are facing is so incredibly difficult. There are no words to express the gratitude we feel toward you already. Your choice may be giving us a gift we will only be able to repay by being the best dads we can be. We hope you consider us to welcome your bundle of joy into our loving family.

If you choose us to raise your child, we will share our experiences, our love for the outdoors, our thirst for adventure, and a warm home full of fun and happiness, where your child can grow to be whoever they want to be.

Our families are super supportive of our journey. When they say, “It takes a village,” our village is ready to jump in and be the loving community that is going to support and encourage your child. We hope you will want to be a part of that village.

Thank you for taking the time to consider us as the family to raise your child. We know this decision is not easy. Please know that if we are the family you choose, we will be there for you every step of the way. We look forward to getting to know you and sharing this wonderful experience with you!

Richie and Ryan

We hope you consider us to welcome your bundle of joy into our loving family.

About Us

Hi! We are Ryan and Richie. We are homebodies with a thirst for adventures and vacations whenever we can sneak away from our small herd of animals. Richie is a third grade teacher at the local elementary school, and Ryan works for the federal government. We both enjoy being around people, especially our close friends and family. One of us loves to talk and host, and the other sits back and enjoys the company. We both love to be outside and working on things around the house. We started a small holistic goat milk soap-making business using the milk from our goats. In our yard, we have a large garden where we grow all of our vegetables for the year. We can our own tomato sauce, salsas, and everything else. Our home is our happy place, but we love taking day trips to a big city, an amusement park, or the closest beach to relax.

Our Home & Pets

We have a single-story ranch home that sits off the road about 200 yards. This is our own little slice of paradise! We have a small farmette, where we raise goats, chickens, and even a mini pig. We have 13 acres to spread out on and have lots of room to grow our family. Our three dogs, Piper, Finn, and Ferb, are full of energy and have so much love to give. Our cats, Sophie and Sylvester, enjoy the country living as well. We are five minutes from a small town that hosts lots of community events we enjoy going to.

Our Extended Family

We are both lucky to have our families within 45 minutes of our home. We get together with both sides any chance we get. We love to have our whole family gather at our farm in the summer, when everyone can be outside.

Richie is the oldest of three. His two younger brothers are both married with young families of their own. He loves to see his niece and nephew whenever he gets the chance. It’s fun watching them grow up, and there is never a dull moment when they are around.
Richie’s family is large, with a plethora of cousins, aunts, and uncles who enjoy seeing each other throughout the year.

Ryan has an older sister who has two young kids, a boy and a girl. They can’t wait to come to the farm to hang out with the goats. Ryan’s mom and dad are super involved, whether they are here helping with our property or they are having fun with their grandkids.

What Led Us To Adoption

Since we met, we have always talked about growing our family. Adoption has always been the answer for us. Richie’s aunt and uncle adopted two girls, and he got to grow up with them. Watching their family grow was really an amazing thing to see. We have always wanted to have a family of our own, and watching our nieces and nephews grow up and being a close part of our lives has brought us here. We are so excited to open our hearts and share our love!
