Rob & Bryan

Family Type: Gay Couple
State we live in: Florida

dear expectant mother

There are not enough words to express our gratitude to you for considering us. We can’t begin to understand the wave of emotions you’re experiencing with this decision. As you look at these amazing people who want to welcome a child into their homes, it’s understandable there’s a sense of uncertainty and cautiousness. Your choice will be life-altering for you, this child, and the family you choose.

As a same-sex couple, we have ridden the emotional roller coaster of the adoption process. We are hopeful for the day when we are able to welcome our first child. Please know we are with you in spirit and wish you continued strength during this process. We know this difficult decision is yours, and we’re grateful you are considering us!

The most important person in our lives will always be this child. From day one, we will appreciate every moment and cherish the privilege we have of being a family.

-Rob & Bryan

About Us

We bring out the best in each other! Bryan is the fun, creative nurturer who lights up a room with his big personality and infectious smile. Rob is the serious, schedule-minded, sports-loving Southerner who never meets a stranger. Bryan loves to make people happy and excels as a lifestyle and event planner, and Rob is a public affairs professional who coordinates political and media affairs. Bryan loves drawing, dancing, and bursting into song. Rob is an author, loves photography, and is finishing his doctorate in education. We love going to our local beaches, vacationing, trying new food, and shopping! We’re also avid Disney and Star Wars fans and collectors of Funko Pops and Hot Wheels!

Our Home & Pets

We live in a fantastic, family-friendly new development in suburban Florida. Our gated community features a resort-style pool, playground, and welcoming environment where kids can play safely. We are less than 15 minutes from beaches, parks, museums, and professional sports teams. The school district in our area is consistently rated as one of the best in the state. Additionally, we are the proud parents of two amazing fur babies. Lucas, our seven-year-old terrier mix, is big brother to our four-year-old Chihuahua. They are people-friendly, and although Lucas and Cody are little guys, they have the biggest personalities! We love taking them for walks, playing, and cuddling with them on the couch.

Our Extended Family

We both come from small families where laughter and love are our priorities. For us, family is the most important part of our lives.

Rob is an only child; his family lives in Texas. We talk to his momma, daddy, and stepmom multiple times a week. We travel twice a year to see them. We love going back to where Rob grew up in North Texas, where his daddy and stepmom live, and traveling to the country to see his momma.

Bryan is the youngest of two. His parents live down the street, and we talk to them every day. We’re so lucky! His brother and his wife and our four-year-old niece live in Ohio. We FaceTime often, and we get so much enjoyment from singing and playing games virtually.

What Led Us To Adoption

We are looking forward to creating and sharing so many wonderful memories, learning from one another, and loving every minute: the bedtime stories, hearing “Daddy” for the first time, and saying, “I love you,” before bed as well as the nights where hugs comfort a bad dream, the day training wheels come off, and kissing the boo-boos to make them feel better. We look forward to all of these moments and so many more. We know that whatever happens, the love we have for one another will always prevail. The most important person in our lives will always be this child. From day one, we will appreciate every moment and cherish the privilege we have of being a family.
