Robyn & George

Family Type: Traditional
State we live in: Kansas

dear expectant mother

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to get to know our little family. We know the decision you are considering is not an easy one. The gift you are considering giving to a family is one that has no quantifiable value.

We want you to know how blessed we would be to love and care for your child. George dreams of the day when he can share his love of all things Star Wars with someone. He can’t wait to show a child how to build different things with Legos and teach them all about how to get the perfect spin on a bowling ball. Robyn is ready to bake cookies and cook dinners with the family after days filled with adventures, music, and creativity. Stella Marie is ready for more human love and, of course, someone who can eventually play more fetch with her. Our family wants to show your child all the adventures our crazy world has to offer.

If there was only one thing we could promise you, it would be that we would love and cherish your child in every way possible.

About Us

We come from different backgrounds and have different life experiences. It was those backgrounds and experiences that ultimately brought us together. We met in Hawaii. George was stationed there with the Army, and Robyn had just moved there for a job. George is fun loving and goofy. Robyn is creative and loving. We found that our differences allowed us to grow. George LOVES Star Wars; he has every Star Wars book there is. He enjoys video games, all things history, golf, and karaoke. Robyn enjoys photography, cooking and baking, reading, crafts, and singing (just not in public). Together we enjoy hiking, motorcycle rides, and games (ranging from strategy to classic card games). We also like bowling, although Robyn is pretty sure George just keeps her around for her handicap scoring. What we enjoy most of all is trying new things together. After all, life is meant to be experienced.

Our Home & Pets

Being an Army family has provided us the opportunity to live in various locations. We currently reside in Kansas in a three-bedroom home situated on a street filled with families. We have a yard for playing, and there are parks and walking paths all around. We enjoy walking in our neighborhood on a regular basis, and the local elementary school is less than a block away. We take pride in our home. We have pieces of our lives together and pieces of our childhoods lining the walls. Memories and love cover our home no matter where we live. Our sweet and always happy lab puppy, Stella Marie, enjoys playing with all the kids in the neighborhood. She is always ready to play.

Our Extended Family

We both grew up in big families with lots of cousins, aunts, and uncles and are close to our families. We grew up knowing what it meant to be family. Both of our families believe families are created in many different ways. We also have people in our lives who are our family even though we are not related. Both of our families are over the moon about our decision to adopt and can’t wait for our family to grow.

Robyn has one biological sister. However, she also has a “bonus” sister who was born two weeks before Robyn to parents who are best friends of Robyn’s parents. They were raised together and have always treated each other as sisters. Both of Robyn’s sisters have children. In total, we have three nephews. Family get-togethers happen as often as possible.

George has one sister and one brother. The relationship the three of them share is truly something special. George’s family has a yearly tradition for Christmas Eve, and every year the family makes the trip to D.C. for Easter.

What Led Us To Adoption

We have always known we wanted to be parents. We have tried for years to have a biological child, and although we have put forth every effort, it has just never happened. We have always considered adoption as an option. After discussing adoption with friends and family, we decided to take the leap. It doesn’t matter if our child is ours biologically. What matters is that we will love any child we are blessed with more than can be imagined.
