About Us

Hello! We are Madison and Ronnie. We met while Madison was still in college and Ronnie was working as a safety officer at a local school district. For our first date, we talked for hours and both spoke about how we were passionate about fostering or adopting children in order to grow our family. We also connected over our common interests in books, TV shows, and travel. We got married five years later in our dream wedding on the beach. Ronnie has always been passionate about providing a safe environment for children at school and is able to do that through her work as a director of safety for our local school district. Madison has always wanted to help others and currently works doing tissue recovery to save and heal lives through transplantation. Madison also hopes to one day be a doctor to continue helping others.

Our Home & Pets

We live in beautiful Colorado with access to many options for activities. We live in a townhome with our two cats, Cora and Raven; one dog, Ghost; and a tortoise, Ellie. The community we live in has a close-knit, small-town feel even though we are on the outskirts of a large city. We have close access to the zoo, several museums, a waterpark, and other attractions we frequent in our spare time. We also live near a large nature preserve that has opportunities for camping, fishing, and wildlife observing.

Our Extended Family

We both grew up in tight-knit families and enjoy spending as much time with them as possible. Ronnie’s family lives in Colorado, a short drive away. We are able to visit them often. Madison’s family lives in southern California, which is only a short plane ride away. We visit Madison's family in California at least four times a year, and her parents come visit us in Colorado twice a year. Ronnie has a younger brother, while Madison is an only child.

Holidays are spent with extended family, including aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins. Outside of the holidays, we often will get together to play board games, visit local attractions, or travel with family. We also both have best friends, more like sisters, whom we spend a lot of time with. Madison has known her best friend for 20 years, and Ronnie has known her best friend for 16 years.

What Led Us To Adoption

We both have always been passionate about fostering and adopting. We have previously been foster parents, but circumstances did not allow for us to pursue adoption with any of those children. Ronnie’s dad was adopted as a child as well as a few aunts and uncles. This led Ronnie to have a drive to provide a loving home for children who needed one through adoption. Madison’s best friend growing up was in the foster care system and met many loving families. Madison has always wanted to provide a loving and safe home for children who needed one.
