dear expectant mother

To a Courageous Soul:

We are so grateful you’re taking the time to learn about us. While we can only imagine the decisions you're facing, we deeply admire your strength, love, and thoughtfulness in considering adoption. We know this isn’t an easy path, and it would be an honor for us to walk this journey with you.

In our home, your child will be loved unconditionally. They’ll grow up surrounded by laughter, curiosity, and support—whether it’s exploring the world through travel, diving into a good book, or simply enjoying time with family. Education, cultural exposure, and the freedom to develop their own sense of self are values we hold dear. We’re committed to raising a child who feels empowered to discover who they are, wherever that path leads.

We also want you to know their biological origins will always be a part of that journey. We will encourage and support them in exploring their roots, and if they ever want to reach out or connect with you, we will honor that, in line with whatever relationship we’ve agreed upon. Your wishes will always be respected, and we’ll be there to facilitate and support them.

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for considering us. We will always treasure the love, trust, and responsibility that comes with this decision.

With all our love,
Royce & Larry

-Royce & Larry

About Us

We’re Royce and Larry, two opposites who fit together like the perfect puzzle! Royce brings creativity and spontaneity to the table as a director at a luxury hotel, where his mission is to create unforgettable experiences. Larry is the logical anchor, managing military recruitment programs at a leading research lab, where he finds joy in connecting brilliant minds with meaningful careers. Despite Royce's need for flair and Larry's love for structure, what we both agree on is how much fun we have navigating life together. Since our first date at Dave & Buster’s during the Super Bowl (where Royce somehow won every game!), we’ve been chasing new adventures—whether that’s hiking with our dogs, trying every taco spot in town, or planning unforgettable trips. We also share a deep love for Broadway shows, adding some drama (the good kind) to our lives. Family and friends mean the world to us, and we are able to spend plenty of time with them thanks to our flexible work schedules.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a spacious, three-level townhome just 30 minutes from Washington, DC! Our peaceful suburban neighborhood gives us the best of both worlds—quiet living with the excitement of the city nearby. Our community is family friendly, with wonderful neighbors, playgrounds, a pool, and even an equestrian center. We like to pretend we know something about horses! For nature lovers like us, the ten miles of scenic trails are perfect for outdoor adventures. Our two rescue pups, Dottie and Mikey, are the heart of our home. They love greeting everyone with tail wags, slobbery kisses, and the occasional request for belly rubs. With easy access to museums, parks, and plenty of performing arts venues, we’re never short on fun or new experiences!

Our Extended Family

Family is the heartbeat of our lives, and both of us come from homes filled with love, laughter, and endless fun. Royce grew up in Hawaii with three siblings and more than 20 cousins who felt more like a built-in team of adventure buddies. His parents, married for over 40 years, have created a home that is always full of laughter, great food, and warm memories. Every Thanksgiving, we travel back to Hawaii to celebrate together and keep the family traditions strong.

Larry was raised alongside two wonderful older sisters, and his parents also just celebrated 40 years of marriage. After years of military service and traveling, we decided it was time to put down roots close to family. Now our gatherings are filled with game nights, cookouts, and lots of laughter.

Babies in our family are cherished, and every new little one is spoiled (mostly by the grandparents, who love to shower them with gifts!). We know our adopted child will be welcomed with open arms and treated no differently than any other baby entering the family. Our relatives can’t wait to spoil, love, and celebrate this new little one with us!

What Led Us To Adoption

We are thrilled to start our adoption journey! For us, adoption isn’t just a path to building a family—it’s a way to create a home filled with love, laughter, and plenty of shared adventures. We are blessed to have friends who were adopted, and seeing how their lives blossomed within their families has deeply inspired us. Their stories are a constant reminder of the power of unconditional love and belonging. What excites us most? The little moments—like reading bedtime stories, cooking weekend breakfasts, and sharing our love for Broadway musicals (get ready for some sing-alongs!). We’re ready to build a future filled with joy, growth, and unwavering support for a child to thrive. Our hearts and home are open, and we can’t wait to welcome a little one and share all the love we have to give.
