dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for considering us to be the family your baby will join and grow with. The amazing child you are bringing into this world is lucky to know their life began with you. If you choose us, your baby will know nothing less than love and compassion as they grow with our family, spending cold winter days decorating cookies or splashing in the kiddie pool outside during the warm summer months. We hope one day this little one will be able to follow in our footsteps and join us as we explore the mountains and nature.

If you choose us, we promise your child will know how much they are loved by us and also by their big sister, who can’t wait to have a younger sibling to love, protect, and play with as she teaches them about life. This baby's grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins will shower them with more kisses than can be counted.

We can’t wait to see what this child will accomplish as they are able to enter their first day of kindergarten. Will they be scared and hold back, or will they have the determination of their birth mother and walk into kindergarten with their head held high?

Thank you so much for considering completing our family!

If you choose us, we promise your child will know how much they are loved by us and also by their big sister, who can’t wait to have a younger sibling to love, protect, and play with as she teaches them about life.

About Us

Eight years ago, when our relationship first started as a friendship, we didn’t imagine we’d be where we are now, happily married and living in a small town in Colorado with our five-year-old daughter, enjoying the beautiful mountain views. We first met back when Samantha’s mom and Aaron began working together. Samantha would spend most of her summers helping her mom out and sneaking a peek at Aaron over the work trucks on occasion. Little did either one of us know that the other had feelings until one Friday night at the local bowling alley, when Aaron received a text from Samantha. The relationship only grew from there, and a year later, we were married and raising our daughter. Now Aaron works at the water treatment plant, and Samantha works for the local hospital in the billing department.

Our Home & Pets

Our tiny town is surrounded by mountains on every side. In the summer, we venture up into the tall mountains for camping and riding around on our four-wheelers. When the leaves begin to fall and the weather grows crisp, we again visit the beautiful mountains in search of deer and elk. If we’re not in the mountains, you can find us in the garage working on our cars or riding bikes through our neighborhood. We may even be taking our kitten, Roxy, on a walk.

Our Extended Family

We are very lucky in that we both have our families living just a short drive away. In the summer, we love spending time with Aaron’s mom, dad, sister, brother-in-law, two nephews, and niece in the mountains for our yearly camping trips. When Christmas comes, we always pile into the living room at Aaron’s sister’s house to watch the wrapping paper fly as everyone opens their presents from each other while drinking homemade hot cocoa and snacking on the yummy treats made in “Mom’s kitchen.”

The time spent with Samantha’s family is never dull. There is always excitement, like the time we took a vacation to Disneyland with Samantha’s mom, dad, and little brother, who was adopted. Every year on Christmas morning, we arrive nice and early to open our presents and see what Santa brought overnight.

No matter where we are or what the occasion, we are always able to make the most out of every moment. We can’t wait to bring another little one into the mix for the grandmas and grandpas to spoil.

What Led Us To Adoption

After receiving news that the chances of us having more children in the future was a 50/50 shot, we were able to get pregnant with our son in 2019. After a stressful and difficult pregnancy, we lost our son at 38 weeks gestation. The doctors had told us that because of this and Samantha’s medical condition, pregnancy moving forward was not an option. We had always felt in our hearts adoption would be an amazing way to expand our family. With both of us coming from families with adopted members, we knew adoption would always be in our hearts. We are so excited to be on this journey.
