dear expectant mother

Dear Birth Mother,

First and foremost, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. The strength, courage, and love you are showing in considering adoption is something we deeply admire and will never take for granted. We can only begin to imagine the complex emotions you may be feeling during this time, and we want you to know that we see you, we honor your journey, and we hold immense respect for the thoughtfulness and love that have brought you here.

If we are chosen to be your child's adoptive parents, we would be humbled beyond words. It would be the greatest honor of our lives. Please know that your baby will be welcomed into a home full of unconditional love, warmth, laughter, and security. We promise to nurture them with patience and understanding, and to support them as they grow into exactly who they are meant to be.
We will speak of you with respect and gratitude. Your child will always know that their story began with an act of pure love and selflessness. We will make sure they understand how deeply you cared, and how your choice was made from a place of profound strength.

We are committed to providing a life where your child feels safe, seen, and celebrated—a life full of opportunities, encouragement, and endless love. We will honor your role in their story, always keeping a space in our hearts and lives for the love that started it all.

With deep respect and gratitude,
Sam and Greg

About Us

Hello, our names are Sam and Greg! We met in 2014 in Washington when Sam was in school, and Greg was stationed at a nearby Air Force base. Our first date was at Chipotle, which was a big step for Sam because he did not care for Mexican food at the time, but he was too excited to pass up this date with Greg. Ever since that day, we have been inseparable. Greg graduated from the Air Force Academy and is now a Lieutenant Colonel flying the C-17. Sam started college at Eastern Washington University and finished at the University of Alaska. He is currently working as a logistics supervisor. Together, we have lived in Philadelphia, St. Louis, Spokane, and now Alaska. In 2022, we had the absolute honor of adopting our son, Cannon. Together as a family, we love to go hiking, camping, biking, skiing, and enjoying anything outdoors in the amazing state we live in.

Our Home & Neighborhood

We live in a friendly neighborhood with many families and kids of all ages. Cannon loves playing outside with his neighborhood friends. There are walking trails we enjoy year-round with our French Bulldogs, Nikko and Rocco—we go skiing in winter and walking in summer. The trails connect to the local high school in the heart of our neighborhood. Cannon and the dogs are like brothers, always playing and exploring together. We also love hiking the nearby trails, just minutes from our home. A beautiful river flows down the hill, where Cannon loves to throw rocks. We can't wait to share these special places and moments with a new addition to our family if given the opportunity.

Our Family & Friends

Greg's family is all based in Colorado—his parents, brother, and cousins live nearby. His brother is married with three children close in age to Cannon. We love visiting their homes and spending time together. Cannon especially enjoys playing with his cousins and being around his grandparents.

Sam's family is split between Alaska and Washington. His parents divide their time between their home and the family lake cabin. Sam's oldest sister and her partner live in Washington and love spoiling Cannon with gifts from their travels. Another sister has a young son born in 2024 and lives on a farm in Washington with her partner. Sam's youngest sister also welcomed her first baby in 2024 and lives in Alaska, so we see them often. Cannon loves his baby cousins and his time at the lake.

We're also surrounded by an amazing support system of close friends. The couple who introduced us to Cannon's birth parents lives just 10 minutes away and they are his godparents. They often join us for dinners, help with the dogs, and are always there when we need them. We're deeply grateful for the love and support we have from both family and friends.

Adoption in Our Lives

Cannon was a miracle for us. His birth mother reached out after hearing from a mutual friend that we were hoping to adopt. We instantly connected and were honored to be at the hospital during the birth, just one room away. We were both raised with siblings. Greg has one younger brother, and Sam has three older sisters. We want to be able to give Cannon the opportunity to make lasting memories with a sibling like we had, while also giving your baby an older sibling to walk through life with. With our strong foundations of siblings being our best friends, we know that we would be able to ensure that for your baby. They will feel supported and loved by the entire extended family.
