Dear Expectant Mother,

Thank you for considering us. Of course we cannot begin to comprehend your feelings during this difficult process, but we promise to do our best to be there for you. We will listen, care, love, support, and hopefully make you laugh every once in a while. We promise to love you like family, as you would be, and to share that love of you with your child. We love that we would become part of your tribe, an extension of your family, and it feels special to be joining together like this to give your child a beautiful life.

We cannot even attempt to write about how much we will love your child. How do you put that into words? Our hearts will literally burst with love and just pure awe. This gift is more momentous than we can express. We and our family and friends are all in this together. There is so much love and support waiting for this child. They will be beyond loved and given everything we have to give.

We’ve both had moments in our lives that seemed hopeless, and then, by some miracle, someone arrived like an angel and made the impossible possible, like they were able to shift gravity and the whole direction of your life changes. Life is a mysterious journey; it can be so painful and so beautiful even at the same time. Sometimes people come into our lives in these beautiful, complex ways that tie us together forever, and there is so much meaning in this. As you navigate through these tough decisions and complex feelings, know that you are truly an angel and that we are all grateful.
