Sarah & Lauren

Family Type: Lesbian Couple
State we live in: Georgia

dear expectant mother

How can we put into words the sheer gratitude we feel for you and this selfless act you’re considering? Let us begin simply with “thank you.” Thank you for considering us. Thank you for creating this little person we will love with all our hearts should you choose us. Thank you for all you have had to overcome to get to this point. Thank you for considering giving us the chance to provide your baby with all the unconditional love and support the two of us can muster. Thank you for being strong and brave. Thank you for considering trusting us with this gift.

We do not take your decision lightly and understand that it is life-changing for all of us. We promise to give every ounce of ourselves to your baby and to provide a safe and loving space for them to become themselves. Please know our relationship with you is forever, and your baby will grow up knowing the love we feel for you.

Being mothers has seemed so far out of reach for so long, and there were times when we thought it just was not in the stars for us. But we know in our hearts that this is the path for us, and we couldn’t be happier about it. We would not have it any other way. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Thank you for considering giving us the chance to provide your baby with all the unconditional love and support the two of us can muster.

About Us

We have been happily married for over five years, together for eight, and friends for 15! From the beginning of our relationship, we have prioritized patience, trust, and laughter. We love dogs
and have two: Lucy, 10, and Ellis, 2. Weekday evenings typically include cooking for Sarah and working on a puzzle for Lauren. On the weekends, you will find us walking our pups at the beach after grabbing coffee from our favorite dive coffee shop. In the evenings, we enjoy time outside around the fire pit. Lauren works as a librarian at a local high school and has been a public educator for over 10 years; during this time, she coached soccer for five years. Sarah works in clinical research at a local hospital and has been in healthcare for nine years.

Our Home & Pets

We live on the East Coast in a quiet neighborhood 15 minutes from the beach and even closer to art musuems, public parks, and renowned colleges. Both our next-door neighbors have two children under the age of four. It is a tight-knit community with an emphasis on safety. Our school district is rated the best in our county, consistently performing above the state average. We have two dogs, Lucy and Ellis. Lucy is a lazy-bones 10-year-old with beautiful brindle stripes, and Ellis is a silly two-year-old with white fur and lots of black spots. A friend told us she thinks our dogs are the most loved dogs in the world. What can we say? We have a lot of love to give!

Our Extended Family

We both have relationships with our extended family. Lauren’s entire extended family lives in a small town about five hours away. Sarah’s family is more spread out but stays connected through frequent phone calls and social media. Thanksgiving, Easter, and other holidays are spent with Sarah’s dad and stepmom, who live about two hours away. Each Christmas, we visit Lauren’s family for two to three days. When we are blessed to become parents, the holiday traditions will be moved to our home, where grandparents and other family members will be welcome any time!

What Led Us To Adoption

Adoption has always been the path for us. We started looking into the process right after we got married and instantly we knew we needed to make some big changes for our future family. We spent the next few years saving, and we both made career moves so we would have more time to devote to our soon-to-be-growing family. We cannot wait to meet the little person who will make our lives complete and hope to nurture an ongoing relationship with our child’s birthmother, who is giving us this life-changing opportunity to become mothers.
