dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

We want to begin by thanking you for considering us as potential parents for your baby. Our hearts break for you as you navigate this life-altering decision. We want you to know there is nothing more in life that we want than to provide a loving home to a precious baby. If chosen to be your child’s adoptive parents your baby will be loved, nurtured, and a gift. We respect you to the fullest.

We understand this may be a very hard decision for you but we want you to know that we both are beyond ready to love your child as our own. We are both very open to communicating about this child and will never neglect your desire to learn about this child if you choose to. We have been through eight years of trying and four years of IVF. The only thing that we know can complete our family is adding a baby.

We already love and appreciate you for being so open to birthing a child and allowing a family to take on the love and support this child will need, with you included if you decide to.

If chosen to be your child’s adoptive parents your baby will be loved, nurtured, and a gift. We respect you to the fullest.

About Us

We are both extremely family oriented and feel that family is the most important thing. We especially love spoiling and playing with our nieces and nephews. We also enjoy spending time rooting for our favorite sports teams, hiking, fishing and traveling. Watching our teenage son play sports is one of our greatest joys. We love to laugh and feel it is so important to not sweat the small stuff. We also love spending time with friends who have become like family. We have found immense joy in the career paths we have chosen. Savannah works as the director of sales for a memory care facility. She has developed incredible relationships with the residents as well as their families. It’s a difficult job at times, but it is beyond rewarding in ways she never imagined. Leon has found his passion in working with children. Many of his students come from a difficult background, but Leon loves being able to provide every single child with a sense of belonging and feeling important. He wants to make a difference in the lives of as many children as possible.

Our Home & Pets

Our townhome is warm, inviting, and quite spacious, with a backyard large enough to play a game of catch in. We have a precious kitty named Izzy who is seven. Our neighborhood is highly sought after for so many reasons: It offers a large pool, tennis court, stocked lake, and playground. We spend lots of time hanging out with other families in the neighborhood, and the playground is right by our home. Our neighborhood also hosts social events for children, including a Halloween parade and fishing tournament. In the winter, you can find the neighborhood kids sledding while the parents socialize and supervise. We’re within a short drive of Washington, DC, and all the history and attractions.

Our Extended Family

Our family is a tight-knit group that offers patience, kindness, unconditional love, and a ton of laughter. It’s been such a blessing to live so close to the majority of our family. It makes it easy to spend lots of time together making memories and keeping our bonds strong. One of Savannah’s sisters and her husband live up the street from us, and her mom and dad live only 20 minutes away. Her oldest sister lives in Florida with our two nephews. Leon’s sister and her family live about 20 minutes from us, and we frequently spend weekends together; they have four children. Leon’s mother also lives with his sister and her family.

We have such a large extended family, and we love spending weekends gathering at one another’s homes as this allows all the cousins to grow up together and gives the grandparents an opportunity to watch them grow. Every holiday you will find us all together. We find joy in the small stuff, such as cooking together, playing games, or just watching the kids play in the yard. There are eight cousins, ages four to 23. To say that there is chaos would be an understatement, but it’s a fantastic sound listening to them laugh and play. We are blessed that our families enjoy being outdoors as well, whether taking long family walks by the creek or riding dirt bikes and ATVs. Our Christian faith is very important to both sides of our family, and we can often be found at church together.

What Led Us To Adoption

At the age of eight months, Leon was adopted by his aunt and uncle. Savannah also was adopted by her bonus dad when she was 23. We credit being who we are today to being given the best opportunities to thrive. Finding out after our marriage via a fertility doctor that Savannah could no longer create her own eggs led us to using an egg donor. This did not disappoint us as a couple as it then gave us a different direction to add to our family. We were able to receive four embryos. After two failed transfers, it was determined her endometriosis was very severe. Even after two surgeries, our final two transfers were unsuccessful. This did not stop us from wanting to grow our family. There is nothing more we want than to add more love to our family through giving a wonderful life to a baby.
