dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

We know the difficult decision you are facing in choosing a couple to raise your child. Scott sees children adopted by loving families every day in his job, and Christopher himself is adopted. We would be so grateful if given the opportunity to raise your baby in a loving and inclusive environment. We live in a home filled with patience and peace. We never raise our voices unless in laughter or joy. We affirm each other with words of love daily, and we would do that for your baby too.

You are making a very courageous decision, and we commend you on your choice of adoption. Your baby is special. We promise you that should you choose us, your baby will have every opportunity to excel. We know that’s what every mother wants for her baby. And we are a lot of fun too!

Adoption is emotional for us too. If we are blessed with raising your baby, we wouldn’t take that challenge lightly. We want your baby to have the best of everything so that when he or she is grown, we can all share the pride of giving the world a special man or woman who will not only do big things but will change the world with love and gratitude. It’s a monumental task, but we are up to the challenge!

A thousand thank yous for considering giving us this gift. We will cherish it.

About Us

We are both healthcare professionals, one a pharmacist who works in intensive care specifically with newborn babies and the other a physician assistant specializing in family medicine. We are avid readers and have a strong passion for education and self-improvement. We both have outgoing personalities and are incredibly patient and kind. In our free time we love to cook, travel the world, go to Disneyland every year (We really love Disney!), and spend time with close friends. We love theater, music, movies, and concerts. We can’t wait to develop the passions and interests of a child. We were both fortunate to have parents who fostered our interests, and passing on that gift is very important to us both. Our daily life is quiet. We work and study and manage our home with our two rescued pugs, Bert and Darla.

Our Home & Neighborhood

We live in a college town in sunny Arizona. Our home is in a beautiful gated community with lots of attractions, theaters, shopping, sporting events, nearby parks, and quiet neighborhoods. We live within five miles of a zoo, botanical gardens, and lots of fun places to take a child. We have amazing schools and opportunities, and we work in teaching hospitals with university affiliations, making higher education for the child we adopt easy and affordable. We have two rescued pugs, Bert and Darla, who have a very special bond as Bert was the last puppy Darla ever had. They are inseparable. They love to play, and they love kids!

Our Family & Friends

Our families are made up of wonderful, diverse people! Christopher is the second of three adopted children! He has two brothers, one older and one younger. He has many cousins, some living in Europe. He loves to visit his cousins in Norway, and it’s our hope to make these travels with a child. Additionally, he has cousins and aunts and uncles living all across the U.S. and even Puerto Rico. We love to visit his cousins in Illinois and have big family dinners together. They are wonderful, kind people.

Scott’s family is even bigger! He has too many cousins to count and even a few second and third cousins! Scott has two brothers and one sister with whom he is very close, and they can’t wait to have a new niece or nephew. We all just returned from an Alaskan cruise together filled with laughter, fun, and exploration. Needless to say, the baby we adopt will have a huge support system!

What Led Us To Adoption

Since we first started dating, we have shared our desire to have children. We discussed the many ways and decided immediately on adoption. Scott works with a nurse who wanted very much to fulfill our dream of becoming parents and offered to be a surrogate for us. After a few failed attempts at surrogacy, we decided it was in our best interests to go back to our original plan to adopt! We have friends who have had two successful adoptions with LifeLong, and we knew it was the right fit for us.
