dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to introduce ourselves. We hope our profile gives you a sense of who we are. We are grateful you love your child so much you are willing to consider an adoption plan.

We met 12 years ago and have been enjoying the adventure. We met in graduate school while becoming teachers. We taught internationally in South Korea and then settled back stateside. Sean currently teaches STEM outreach, and Fallon teaches independent living skills to students with special needs. We spend our days surrounded by children, watching them learn and grow. These experiences have helped us grow as people, and we are fortunate to have a variety of training and resources to help with the nurturing of your child.

We promise to cherish and love your child with our hearts and souls. We are committed to providing a safe, happy home and a life with every opportunity possible. We have family spread across the globe, and we can’t wait to go on adventures with the little one.

Know that we are wishing you a smooth pregnancy.

Sincerely,
Sean & Fallon

About Us

We like to think of ourselves as loving, intelligent, responsible, funny people, and unless our friends and family have been lying to us, we are not far off the mark. We have been married for four years but together for twelve. Our love has deepened over time, and we’ve learned we can count on each other no matter what life presents. Through all the years we’ve always known we wanted children, and we are very excited to start a family. Since we have been together for so long, we know how to comfort each other, how to make each other laugh, and how to solve problems together. We have been on many adventures together and now we are ready for the next one. We are beyond excited to start our family.

Our Home & Pets

We are proud parents of two dogs and a shy lizard. We recently started gardening and found out we have quite the green thumbs. We have been able to grow a variety of fruits and vegetables, and we can’t wait to pass these lessons on. Our neighborhood is family oriented. There are a lot of children in the neighborhood, and we live within minutes of playgrounds. There is a sense of community as neighbors like to exchange stories, recipes, and baked goods. We are lucky to be surrounded by some of the best museums in the world. There are also theaters that host live shows, street festivals, sporting events, boutiques, restaurants, drive-in movie theaters, and parks

Our Extended Family

When we broke the news of the adoption, the reaction was pure joy. There are six soon-to-be aunties, eight soon-to-be uncles, and 13 cousins. Everyone in Fallon’s immediate family is within a two-hour drive. The majority of Sean’s family is within a 30-minute drive. This makes it easy for visits and support. We have a close social circle of friends who live nearby who also have children. The support during this journey has been unbelievable, and we feel incredibly grateful to have such wonderful people in our lives.

Our favorite traditions include going to Canada every summer to stay in Sean’s family cabin. His family also has a reunion every summer in Rochester, New York. Every fall we go apple picking, and we invite friends over for pumpkin carving and sharing ghost stories around a bonfire. We dress up in costumes every year and can’t wait to share these traditions. During the Christmas holiday, we invite people over to decorate gingerbread men and make ornaments. Every year we go to a different city for New Year’s Eve. It has been a tradition we have kept going for the past eight years.

What Led Us To Adoption

Adoption was always part of the plan. Earlier this year, Fallon encountered some heart-breaking fertility issues. Out of this experience, we were convinced we were meant to adopt. We have a lot of love to give and a warm home to share with a child. We both come from big families and can’t wait to start our own. We are open to welcoming a baby of any gender to our family. We are thankful we could possibly be blessed with a child.
