dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

We want to express our sincere gratitude for you and your strength. Perhaps you knew early on that adoption was a possibility, or maybe it is a new, undecided consideration. Nonetheless, we understand your courageous journey is not for the faint of heart. We wish you peace and balance along the way.

In creating and sharing our profile, we want to be open with you about who we are and the qualities that will make us great parents. Adoption is not a second choice for us; we have always wanted this opportunity, and our desire increased in the moments after we met. We are hopeful, excited, and committed in our desire to grow our family. We are ready to share our love, resources, zest for life, and incredibly supportive families with a child.

In our care, your child will never question whether they are loved or supported; they will always know it is true. We will protect them, teach them, and let them teach us. Depending on your wishes, we will honor your connection to them. We can update you on their growth and development through letters and photographs. We will be honest with them about and celebrate their origins.

We sincerely hope you will consider our family as an option. We, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews across two continents, anxiously await this child's arrival and cannot wait to lavish them with love and adventures.

In gratitude & love,
Guy & Sebastian

Though we had a strong desire to become parents long before we knew one another, our union has created an abundance of love to be shared with a child through adoption.

-Sebastian & Guy

About Us

Passionate about arts and entertainment, Guy is a professional theater manager for an acclaimed performing arts center. We believe exposing children to the arts fosters emotional intelligence, independence, and the stimulation required for healthy physical and psycho-social development. We attend several shows each season and look forward to sharing this experience with our child. Certified to teach children in grades K-12, Sebastian is a Spanish educator, coach, and Program Dean who speaks four languages. We can provide a rich learning environment with endless possibilities. We love cooking and enjoy home improvement projects. Guy has always had a green thumb, which he channels into gardening, while Sebastian has developed a new passion for baking. We have a loving, adventurous marriage based upon mutual respect and admiration. Though we enjoy being at home together, we love hanging out with our dog at the park, running, and hiking along the beautiful creek nearby. We also like to camp and enjoy travel.

Our Home & Pets

We live with our four-year-old Labrador, Zelig, who is sweet with children. We have a fragrant garden, a well-lit nursery, and plenty of space at our home, perfect for a family. Our surrounding community is no exception. Numerous families with infants and toddlers reside on our block and have provided us with confidence that our child will have many friends and playdates. Our diverse neighborhood is adjacent to several parks, at least two community swimming pools, libraries, historical museums, national treasures, and a zoo. We look forward to attending family concerts, the ballet, and other child-friendly performances. We will support our wee one in cultivating hobbies and extracurricular activities to ensure well-rounded development.

Our Extended Family

We have large families located on the East and West Coasts of the United States as well as in Argentina. We are close with our siblings, nieces, and nephews and spend various holidays together. Guy's favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. He and his family prepare ravioli from scratch, sharing time-honored recipes passed down through the generations. We want to keep these traditions alive through our child.

We love family barbeques by the beach, occasional boat rides, hikes, and capturing family photos. The children in the family enjoy trips to Disney parks and are excited to have a new family member. Our niece is already making plans to babysit, and one sister cried when we shared the news of our adoption journey. Our child will indeed have a village.

What Led Us To Adoption

We began dating based on shared values, interests, and goals. Though we had a strong desire to become parents long before we knew one another, our union has created an abundance of love to be shared with a child through adoption. We believe adoption provides cyclical benefits for all involved. For an expectant mother, it may grant her peace to know her child is in the hands of a stable, committed family with a diversity of resources and support. Through her trust in us, we have a chance to grow our family and embark on a new, fulfilling adventure.
