dear expectant mother

Thank you so much for taking the time to look through our profile. We know that while you are making this selfless and loving decision on behalf of your baby, it must still be an extremely difficult and emotional one for you to make. Please rest assured that a baby raised in our home will always feel safe and loved. We believe in having a home with structure but also one where a child is encouraged to pursue their passions in life and express themselves however they feel most comfortable. We really feel that since Trey was adopted himself, he will be able to bring so much assurance to your child throughout their life that this family structure is just as normal and loving as any other kind.

We are also surrounded by so many loving and supportive family and friends who cannot wait to be part of this child’s life. Our closest friends also have very young children who would already make for built-in best friends! We love to travel and experience new things, and we are so excited to have a new person come join us in our adventure! While there is no possible way we could ever thank you enough for choosing us, please know that we would be so appreciative of your choice in allowing us to become parents.

About Us

We met in college in 2005 and bonded over our mutual taste in music. We are huge animal lovers and love going to concerts, watching TV/movies, traveling all around the world, and getting together with friends and family for dinners and game nights. Trey works for a software company and is a musician. He plays saxophone and keyboards. Aside from music, his hobbies are reading, biking, working out, collecting vinyl records, and going to concerts. He is a superfan of Queen and collects any music or memorabilia related to them. Shadan works part time (from home) and is also working on publishing her first cookbook. She plans on being a stay-at-home mom. Aside from English, she is also fluent in Farsi. Her hobbies include reading, cooking, crafting (especially embroidery and cross stitching), coloring her hair fun colors, playing board games, puzzles, listening to podcasts, and hosting fun parties and holiday get-togethers.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a college town. There are so many wonderful events and shows that go on here all throughout the year. It has a very lively downtown scene. We live just on the edge of town, so we are far enough away to enjoy some peace and privacy at home but it’s just a few minutes’ drive to all the fun things going on! We have a wonderful community of friends locally from all walks of life. We have two cats and two dogs- all adopted from local shelters or rescues .

Our Extended Family

Shadan has one sister, who lives about 30 minutes away with her partner and their cat. Her parents are close by as well. They are a very close, loving family who see each other multiple times each month. They love to cook and host family get-togethers. She has a very large extended family who live throughout the United States and Canada.

Trey has one sister, who lives in the same town, and his mother lives about 30 minutes away. They enjoy getting together during the holidays and watching music videos or college basketball. Trey sadly lost his father to cancer in 2014, but his memory is alive and well. Trey’s biological family lives in Indiana, and they keep in touch regularly. He also has extended family who mostly live in Indiana.

What Led Us To Adoption

We always knew that when we were ready to start a family, we wanted to go the route of adoption. Trey was adopted from birth (as were both his sister and his father). We would love to give a child a happy, loving home to grow up and flourish in. We believe we can provide a loving and stable home where a child can be free to express themselves and know we support them no matter what they want to do in life. Trey’s experience of being adopted will be invaluable for any child going through the same thing.
