dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

We just knew in our hearts adoption was the right path for us to start our family and recognize that although this may be a difficult and confusing time, we are grateful to have the opportunity to share our story and inspiration behind why we are worthy of raising your baby.

Having been together for ten years, the foundation of our love is built on trust and shared values. It is our love for family that fuels our desire to continuously want to grow and learn together. Our commitment to connecting disciplines, opening doors, and serving the common good have been the driving force within our respective professions, volunteer work, and faith. Now, having started laying down our roots within a community that bolsters inclusion, a public educational system that advances the liberal arts, and a place where authenticity is celebrated, we are eager to provide an environment and space for a baby like yours to thrive and flourish.

The strength it must take for you to consider an adoption plan for your precious child is amazing to us. The resilience and grit you are displaying are no stranger to us as our families have that quality in common. If we are fortunate to be chosen by you, please know your child will be cared for, will be loved immensely, and will live to know of your great love and courage in making this decision.

Thank you for taking the time to consider us!

With appreciation and respect,
Patton and Shaun

About Us

What a difference ten years can make! With a loving home in a progressive suburban community right outside of a large city, we are very fortunate to be surrounded by family and friends, all within an hour radius. Rooted in shared values, by day we are committed professionals representing the cyber security, accounting, and higher education advancement sectors, and by night we are movie enthusiasts and trailblazing hikers and put the “fun” in fundraising through volunteer work with community-focused organizations, including our alma maters. Our loved ones profess that we are the “hostess with the mostest” since we are hosting connoisseurs with a keen specialization for dinner parties, holiday celebrations, and anything that has to do with a good laugh paired with authentic, home-cooked Italian or Vietnamese food. Essentially, we aspire to be the Martha Stewart of our small town.

Our Home & Pets

Our colonial home is located in a historical town enshrouded in rich history, culture, and arts. We are adjacent to a family park with three playgrounds, a tennis court, a bocce court, and two fields used for soccer and baseball. Our backdrop is a world-class country club with an 18-hole golf course spanning 129 acres and scenery to accompany the two trails often filled with hikers, bikers, dogs, and families while connecting us to neighboring towns and the city. With growing mom and pop businesses, culturally diverse eateries, and a thriving public education, our three rescue pups (who are well trained and love kids) and we are taking full advantage. The cozy aesthetic of our home also provides a great space for exploration, adventures, and memories to last a lifetime.

Our Extended Family

We have a large, close-knit family with a total of 18 cousins, seven siblings, and six children, with another due soon. We have family gatherings once a month and often see our cousins and siblings weekly. As a family that likes to make home-cooked meals together as a way to bond, you can always expect authentic food with a palette that spans all spectrums of cultures and seasonings. Clearly, the most important part of our homes is the kitchen.

We celebrate every holiday together and have family traditions we are extremely proud of, like Secret Santa for Christmas or having two cakes at each birthday party, one to eat and the other to smash your face in as a sign of love and endearment from family and loved ones of course. We celebrate cultures, particularly Vietnamese and Italian heritage, and are committed to rituals that facilitate mutual respect and common ground.

As a family, we are nomads in spirit as well, having traveled together throughout the entire continent of Asia and Canada with small adventures to Europe. We enjoy cultural immersion opportunities that will allow us to grow together, like visiting various temples around the world, museums, art exhibits, fairs, and parks.

What Led Us To Adoption

The most beautiful gift of all is the gift of life. Both coming from large, close-knit families, we are constantly surrounded by their love and affection. The ethos of providing a child with the love and similar experiences to that of our nieces and nephews became a motivating factor for us to adopt. Our family culture and environment demonstrated to us the ability for us to come together in support of one another and, more importantly, gave us the confidence to raise a child in a loving, nurturing home. No matter how much we accomplish in life, there is truly no greater honor to us than to have the title dads as we have always envisioned ourselves as such since we first met eight years ago.
