Family Type: Heterosexual Couple
State We live in: Georgia

dear expectant mother

We would like to express our utmost gratitude for allowing us the opportunity to connect with you and for taking the time to consider us. We are beyond excited to potentially begin this journey together.

If chosen, we pray this experience will provide only peace and joy to us all. We understand this is a difficult, overwhelming part of life, and it can be challenging to determine the correct decision; however, we both want to express our love, our hearts, and our support through this process. While we strive to become parents and are so appreciative for this hopeful opportunity, we also hope we are able to provide you with the clarity and peace you deserve. If chosen, it is our promise to love your child unconditionally. We know you are also showing an act of unconditional love to have reached this step.

Once again, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for considering us and for possibly being the answer to our prayers.

All our love,
Steven and McKenna

Once again, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for considering us and for possibly being the answer to our prayers.

About Us

We met early in college through some mutual friends on campus. Starting as friends, we eventually fell in love and began discussing our visions, values, and goals in life. We both had dreams of being parents, which was a strong connecting force early on. We dated for nearly six years before getting engaged as we wanted to finish our master’s programs prior to marrying. We married in 2020 after seven years together and are constantly learning new ways to nurture our relationship. McKenna has worked as a nurse at some capacity since graduating from college in 2016 and has worked in infection prevention for five years. Steven has been an occupational therapist for nearly three years. We both love staying active, being outdoors, and spending time with loved ones. We often host gatherings and are always looking for new games to enjoy. We are plugged into our community and enjoy seeking opportunities to foster our town’s growth.

Our Home & Pets

We purchased our house in the summer of 2021. It is a cute, ranch-style home in a suburban neighborhood and is not too far from downtown. We have spent time renovating our house to our preferences. We have two beautiful cats: Korra Belle, an eight-year-old tabby, and Chaco, a two-year-old tuxedo, whom we adore. One day, we want to build a house with enough land for animals, including alpacas and ducks. We love our town: medium-sized with plenty of amenities (dozens of schools, two large hospitals) but small enough to still have a strong sense of community and quaint charm. There are two beautiful college campuses, an excellent rec department, and a lovely library in town. There’s no shortage of outdoor adventure!

Our Extended Family

Steven’s mother lives in town in the home she raised him in, while McKenna’s parents moved into town to be closer to us. Steven’s sister also lives in town. We both have close extended families as well. Most of Steven’s mom’s side live in town, while his dad’s side mostly live in the same state. McKenna’s extended family also mostly live in the state; however, her grandfather lives in Colorado but remains in touch. We are both very close with cousins on both sides of our family, most of whom are close in age and in similar phases of life as we are. We both have very loving families who are extremely supportive of our journey.

We have many traditions throughout the year, but Christmas brings some of our favorites. We spend time at Steven’s mother’s house the night before Christmas Eve to watch Elf. Christmas Eve is at McKenna’s cousin’s house to gather with family in their lovely home. Steven’s grandparents also usually host a holiday event where the family shares stories, plays games, and opens White Elephant-style gifts. We also have traditions within our close-knit friend group as well, such as Halloween costume parties, Friendsgiving, and trips to see Christmas lights.

What Led Us To Adoption

Shortly after marriage and after many conversations, we began the process of attempting to have children. Unfortunately, we’ve experienced barriers to that dream, experiencing four miscarriages across three separate pregnancies. We searched for answers and had many doctors appointments, which included close observation by our OB/GYN during our last pregnancy. Despite excellent medical supervision and a subsequent surgery, we have been unable to successfully carry children at this time. Adoption has always been on our hearts, so we elected to pursue the adoption route to grow our family. We know we have so much love to share, and how we become parents will not change our hearts on the matter. Biologically or adopted, our children will be loved equally and unconditionally.
