dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

We can’t begin to describe how genuinely grateful we are to you for even considering us to raise your child. Though we have never been in your position, we know considering an adoption plan is an incredibly difficult and emotional decision. We could never thank you enough for giving us the incredible gift of becoming parents, but please know you would quite literally be making our dreams come true.

We want to raise a child who has strong character and morals and is independent. We will provide a safe and stable home where a child can grow and prosper. We believe in letting children follow their dreams, and that starts with hard work and dedication on our part. We truly want to raise a child who loves themselves and is empowered to make a positive impact on the world. We are unbelievably excited to become parents and cannot wait for sleepless nights with a crying infant, coaching a Little League team, and parent-teacher conferences. We are ready for the joys and struggles of being parents and know it will be difficult but overwhelmingly rewarding.

Thank you for viewing our profile, giving us your time, and taking us into consideration. Ultimately, we know there may be many things you are looking for, and we hope we have given you some comfort in knowing that if you choose us, we will do everything we can to give your child the very best life.

Thank you,
Rebekah & Tabitha

About Us

We have been married for five years and together for seven. We connected instantly over our love for dogs, movies, and history. Rebekah works for a company whose mission is to grow affordable organic food. She enjoys reading, crafting, and watching movies. In her free time, you may find her in our finished basement with our cats, working on a craft project such as crocheting or making a new wreath. Tabitha works for a company that is working toward eradicating certain types of cancer from the world. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, fly fishing, and playing basketball. Together we enjoy exploring our local area, playing with our dogs, and spending time with friends and family. On any given day, you may find us listening to music and dancing with our dogs or working on a Star Wars puzzle.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a subdivision just outside of a historic town. We have a comfortable home with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a big three-acre yard. Our home has a log cabin feel with high ceilings and is very cozy with a small fireplace in the living room. We spend a lot of time outside on our screened-in porch, on the patio around the fire pit, or playing with our dogs. We also have two cats, who live in our finished basement, where Rebekah spends much of her time crafting or playing instruments. Our town hosts many family-friendly events and festivals. There is also a large park with playgrounds and sports fields. We are only a short drive from both a larger city and a national park.

Our Extended Family

We live close to Tabitha’s family. Tabitha’s parents, grandparents, aunt and uncle, and cousins all live within 15 minutes of us and each other, and her brother and his wife and twin boys, along with her sister and her husband, live 30 minutes away. We have large family gatherings each weekend for cookouts and swimming at Tabitha’s parents’ house or game nights in the winter months. Tabitha’s family is very outdoorsy. We enjoy camping, hunting, fishing, and hiking as a family. We also take a yearly beach vacation to Myrtle Beach, SC. The vacation is a week long and consists of approximately 15-20 people each year.

Rebekah’s family lives about three hours away on Virginia’s Chesapeake Bay, and we enjoy visiting them often. Rebekah has two brothers and a sister who all live near her parents. She has multiple cousins, aunts, and uncles who live in other states as well as a paternal aunt and uncle who live within five minutes of her parents. When we visit Rebekah’s family, we often enjoy local seafood, festivals, and boat rides in the local creeks, rivers, and bay.

What Led Us To Adoption

Throughout our relationship, our goal has always been to expand our family by becoming parents. Rebekah has always been interested in adoption, and we have both struggled with infertility for the last three years while trying to have biological children. We have chosen to adopt because we truly want to raise a child together. We believe raising a child is an honor and a blessing and that a child is a gift to the world. In whatever way we can, we always try to give back, and in that mindset, we believe adoption combines our dreams with our goals.
