dear expectant mother

Sweet Mama,

We have so much love for you and are here to support you in whatever manner you need. From the bottom of our hearts and the depths of our souls, thank you for even giving us the consideration to love your baby. You have the strength that people dream of obtaining, and you are selfless and brave.

We know right now you are going through a tough time. We want you to know we are here to walk beside you. We understand this must be the most difficult decision you have ever made. We are so excited to not just love your baby but you as well, in whichever manner you choose, if you choose us. The fact that you are even considering us to love your baby is a high honor. We know you want the absolute best for your baby, and we want to help ensure your baby gets the absolute best. We can’t imagine how overwhelmed you must feel.

We will only ever speak highly of you, and no matter how often we see or talk to you, you will always be a part of our family. We will tell your baby about how brave and selfless you are. We hope to teach your baby the importance of culture and embracing who they are and where they come from. You and your baby are the greatest gift we could receive. May you find comfort, peace of mind, and peace of heart as life continues to ebb and flow. We would be forever grateful for you.

From the bottom of our hearts and the depths of our souls, thank you for even giving us the consideration to love your baby.

About Us

After a rough road of relationships, we met at a local park for the first time. After meeting that evening, we both knew we had found our person. Two years later, we are married and still attached at the hip. Together, we parent Kaprice’s beautiful kids (from his previous marriage), Isaiah and Jada. Honestly, we can’t tell you who is more excited about our adoption journey, the kids or us. While Taylor is extroverted, Kaprice is introverted. They say opposites attract, right? We enjoy binge watching movies, camping, roller and ice skating, mini golf, playing dominoes and Uno, and spending time as a family. We love to sing and dance in the kitchen. Taylor is a teacher working to become a family therapist. Kaprice is an electrician in the military with dedication to become a lawyer.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a beautiful, hilly neighborhood in a four-bedroom, two-bath home with an enclosed trampoline in the backyard, where our favorite furry family member, Winnie, loves to dig holes and scare off every squirrel or bird that attempts to visit our environment. Right outside of the neighborhood is a gas station we enjoy riding our bikes to and picking out a special treat to enjoy. We are frequent visitors of the local waterparks and parks. There is also a little creek that runs through our neighborhood we love venturing to.

Our Extended Family

We have the most amazing support group. Taylor comes from a marriage of almost forty years with two older siblings (both married and with beautiful kids), an abundant number of crazy and loud cousins, loving and kind aunts and uncles, and grandparents who always show up.

Kaprice comes from a beautiful woman and handsome man, and although separately, they raised one heck of a man! He has two brothers, a sister, cousins, and an amazing grandmother. Both sides are loud, loving, caring, giving families. (Some created their own club: The Monster Club. Typically the president is around the age of 8 or 9. There is an initiation process in which you MUST present your best talent.)

They always make you feel loved. When times get tough, we walk beside one another, giving support and honesty. At Thanksgiving, each person’s favorite dish is served, and on Christmas Eve, we wear matching pajamas. There’s culture and encouragement, bravery and authenticity. Most important of all, we all love to spend time with each other and cherish the moments that make lasting memories. Between the talent shows, charades, Uno, Sorry, and Clue, we each hold a place with plenty of room for more.

What Led Us To Adoption

Adoption has always been a part of our plan, as a couple and individually. Regardless of fertility, adoption is something that has always been a desire we both crave. We are so excited to be on the adoption journey. While we have not adopted before, Kaprice brought two beautiful children into the marriage, and they live with us 100% of the time. Taylor plans to adopt them within the next year as well. The love that is poured out on them is the exact love we want to pour out on you and your baby. We believe that love is love. The more love a child can receive, the better. We have seen several friends adopt and enjoy the love and happiness found through the process.
