We are deeply grateful and humbled that you have taken the time to consider us as adoptive parents for your child. Though we haven't met you yet, we have been praying for you for a long time. We don't know what you are going through, but we do trust that God can provide guidance, wisdom, and kindness to you. Only He has held us through the hard times that we as individuals and as a couple have experienced. We pray that He will give you peace and strength in your journey as you decide what is best for you and your precious baby.
You can be assured that this child will receive an abundance of love from us and our families and be taught honesty, love, kindness, hard work, but most of all…FUN! We believe in education and will provide this child with whatever assistance is necessary to see that they succeed.
We hope in reading through these pages you will be able to see the love that we have for each other as well as the love that we would have for your baby and our deep gratitude to you. Hello! We met in October of 2018 and fell instantly for each other. Life threw us many curveballs, but we were able to grow not only individually, but also as a couple. These trials have helped us to stay connected to one another and communicate effectively over the years. AJ enjoys playing a variety of sports, and is involved in several softball leagues with his friends. In April of 2021, after hitting a home run and unbeknownst to Teneen, he rounded home plate, came through the dugout, and got down on one knee to propose to her. We married in August of 2022! AJ works as a Manual Machinist and Teneen works as a Respiratory Therapist. We are currently licensed foster parents in our county and enjoy helping to make a difference in families' lives. We enjoy anything outdoors and are very close with our families.
We live on a private street with only 5 neighbors. All of us have some acreage, which is excellent for extracurricular activities! Our school district is growing, and improvements keep coming to our developing area. We have two Great Danes named Pharah and Phoebe. Our parents, who also live in our lower level as their apartment, have an older Jack Russell Terrier. All of the dogs love children and do very well with kids of all ages.
Teneen's parents moved into the home in July of 2024 after relocating from Indiana. She had one brother, who passed away in October of 2019. AJ is close with his mother, and we both enjoy spending as much time with her as we can in between all of our work schedules. AJ is also close with his father, who drives out to see us at least once per month. AJ has three siblings, two brothers and one sister. His eldest brother is married with two sons. His sister is married with two sons and one daughter. His youngest brother is still a bachelor, but doing well for himself. AJ also has a stepbrother who is married with two children and a stepsister who is married with three children. Both Teneen's parents and AJ's family enjoy celebrating holidays and birthdays together, as well as attending children's sporting events.
We have wanted to start a family together since the moment we became official. After years of trying to conceive on our own, we attempted IVF, which unfortunately failed. Instead of continuing to try multiple rounds of IVF, we decided to try fostering. Knowing what we do now about the foster system, though we would like to continue fostering in the future if life allows it, we would love the opportunity to adopt a baby and provide a wonderful and fulfilling life.
