Family Type: Single Heterosexual Woman
State I live in: Florida

dear expectant mother

I want to start off by thanking you. I want to thank you for doing such a good job of caring for this baby you are carrying. I want to thank you for being so strong and considering such a selfless act as adoption. I would like to thank you for even considering me and my family to continue this journey of raising your child with love and joy. We would be honored if you would allow us to provide the unconditional love, support, encouragement, and opportunities every child deserves to experience. I would like to reassure you, if you choose me, your child will know and understand this decision was made with love, and they will continue to be surrounded by the love of all involved. I would continue to honor you and your place in this child’s heart and life, whatever you decide that should be. If you choose, you can watch them grow and thrive with the confidence that anything they want to achieve in life is possible. Adoption has always been a part of my story, as I was adopted, and I pray I have the opportunity to expand that story through you and this absolute blessing.

I would like to reassure you, if you choose me, your child will know and understand this decision was made with love, and they will continue to be surrounded by the love of all involved.

About Me

I am a biracial woman who grew up in the Midwest but now live in Florida. I love my family, children, and animals. I love to sing and dance and grew up playing sports. I value honesty, education, integrity, a strong work ethic, creativity, and laughter. I want to show my children the many different places and cultures within this country and around the world. I want them to understand they should do their best in everything they do, and if they do that, they can be proud of the results, whatever they are. I work as a pediatric nurse in a children’s hospital and can be found on any down time spending time with the infants and children who are there alone, providing them with care and comfort while making their experience a little less scary. I love with my whole heart at all times.

My Home & Pets

Along our family’s journey, we have adopted animals as well. We have the privilege of sharing our home and our love with three dogs and two cats. There is never a dull moment, and our house is full of joy, love, and laughter. We live in a suburb just minutes from Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, Legoland, and four amazing water parks. We have two long coasts of beautiful Florida beaches to choose from to spend a day or a weekend. My twin brother and his wife live just over an hour away, and we love spending time together. Near them is yet another theme park, Busch Gardens. We are surrounded by more shopping and restaurants than we could ever experience.

My Extended Family

We visit with my twin brother and his wife frequently. We try to get together for at least a few days every month or so and then get together for special occasions, such as birthdays and holidays. We are able to visit my parents in person usually twice per year but talk to them over video calls several times per week. My mom even gives my older daughter piano lessons weekly through the video calls. We get together with my parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews once a year for a family reunion lasting almost a week.

My Adoption Story

I was adopted along with my twin brother when I was very young. The family that adopted us already had three biological children. I loved being part of a larger family. I gained so much from my relationships with my siblings. I always hoped to have both biological and adopted children. After having my first daughter, I struggled to grow my family on my own. I pursued adoption and was blessed to be chosen to be the mother for my younger daughter. The joy and love my family has felt through this adoption is immeasurable, and the bond between my children is even more than I hoped for. We know in our hearts that our family is not yet complete, and we are ready to gain the final missing piece.
