dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

We understand the difficult decision you are trying to make. We cannot describe our gratitude for being considered to raise your child as our own. Considering an adoption plan can’t be easy, and your consideration speaks volumes to your strength and courage. Sometimes life gets in the way and people have to make hard choices, but those choices can lead to a beautiful story of love.

We are so excited at the possibility of being a part of your child’s life. If you choose us, we will make sure your child lives a free and expressive life with nothing holding them back both monetarily and educationally. Allowing our future child to know where they come from is a huge part of our adoption plan as we can assume they will have questions later in life, which we are fully prepared for. We vow to give your child a loving home, space to grow, and a thriving environment with plenty of support from us, our family, and our friends. We hope this letter gives you comfort in this difficult decision.

Sincerely,
Michael and Todd

P.S. Thank you so much for this possible opportunity for us to grow our family!

We are so excited at the possibility of being a part of your child’s life.

-Todd & Michael

About Us

We both have great personalities! We enjoy both watching movies at home and going to the movie theater. We are extremely devoted to our family and are also both very creative individuals. Our hobbies include quilting, painting, making model buildings, and creating full-size props for our front yard for Halloween and Christmas. We love to play with our two dogs, and we also love to take time to stay at home and regroup after a long workweek. Todd is a full-time realtor, while Michael works full-time in an assembly plant. We both love our jobs and are devoted to creating a happy home for our future child.

Our Home & Pets

Our home is a source of relaxation, family fun, and love. We live in a neighborhood full of diverse family types ranging from young families to retired couples who are grandparents. Our neighborhood has two police stations, one police academy, and a fire station all within three minutes of our house. Local attractions include a theme and water park and lots of local parks. We are central to all our family members. The school district offers many after-school activities ranging from the arts to sports of all kinds. We have a four-year-old golden retriever and a one-year-old boxer. The golden is a relaxed, lovable male dog who loves to lounge around and get cuddles, while the boxer is a ball of energy who also loves cuddles!

Our Extended Family

Our families are both decently sized ones. Michael’s family is creative in the arts and always makes time to be together, and Todd’s family is always doing something on the go, whether camping or going to dinner together.

Between the both of us, we have four siblings total; Michael has one older brother, and Todd has two older brothers and a younger sister. Michael has one sister-in-law with a baby on the way, and Todd has two sisters-in-law. We both have our parents, aunts, uncles, too many cousins to count, and lots of pet owners!

What Led Us To Adoption

We have always wanted to grow our family. When we found out we were going to be blessed with a baby niece in October of this year, we were so excited! Every time we see a family when we go shopping, we get more and more excited to have our own. Being a gay couple, it would be impossible to have a biological child of our own, but we fully intend on making our adopted baby part of our ever growing family just as we would if we had a biological child. We are ready for this huge step and honestly cannot wait to give our love to another human. Male or female does not matter. We cannot wait for this exciting new chapter in our lives!
