Family Type: Gay Couple
State we live in: Indiana

dear expectant mother

We want to thank you so much for reading our profile and learning about us as you consider an adoption plan. We want you to know we are so extremely thankful for your consideration in choosing us to be parents to your child. If you choose us, we want you to be at ease knowing your baby will know nothing but love and will be supported through whatever endeavors they decide to pursue in life. They will be taught to love, care, and accept everyone for who they are and where they are in life.

Since we are unable to have children on our own, your selflessness in this decision will never be forgotten, and we will be forever grateful for you even considering us. Every decision we make is made toward the betterment of our family, and we know now is the right time for us to be parents.

Please know if you are to make our dream of becoming fathers come true, your child will be well cared for and loved, not by only us but by a large, diverse group of extended family and friends. We cannot put into words how much gratitude we have for you.

Much love,
Travis & Matthew

Every decision we make is made toward the betterment of our family, and we know now is the right time for us to be parents.

About Us

Travis is originally from New York, and Matthew was born and raised in Indiana, where we live. Both of us were raised with strong family values and traditions that were passed down to us. Travis is currently still pursuing his degree and works as an orientation supervisor for one of the largest insurance companies in the United States. Matthew is a general manager for a well-known Italian restaurant. Travis keeps Matthew grounded, while Matthew brings Travis out of his shell and encourages him to try new adventures. We value quality time spent with friends and family, and we often have them over for game/movie nights and dinner. The holidays are very important to us. One of our favorite holidays is St. Patty’s Day, and we got married on that day! We host most holidays at our home, along with “Friends-giving” and “Friends-mas” every year.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a diverse suburban neighborhood in an open-concept, ranch-style home across the street from an elementary school just north of central Indiana. We have three dogs: Logan, a five-year-old Shar-Pei/Lab mix; Dash, a five-year-old Papillion; and Henry, a two-year-old Pekingese/Yorkie mix. They all love going for walks and enjoy when company comes over to visit. We are so excited to be able to take our future child to local farmers markets and seasonal festivals. Our family really enjoys playing board games like Scrabble, Life, Trivia, Mexican Train Game, and Clue. We also play occasional video games like Mario Kart and Animal Crossing.

Our Extended Family

Travis is close with his family (father, mother, stepfather, brother, and sister-in-law), but they do live out of state. His family comes into town to visit a couple times a year, and we visit his family at least once a year. His parents are looking forward to being grandparents, and his brother and sister-in-law are just as excited to be an uncle and aunt. Travis’s mom does a lot of baking around the holidays and taught him how to bake. She is excited to help pass down this tradition to her grandchild.

Matthew’s family is mostly local and are equally as excited and supportive of us. Matthew has an older brother and sister-in-law and is a triplet to a sister and another brother. We see his family weekly, and his parents and siblings can’t wait for another addition to the family. Both of Matthew’s parents have taught music and have retired to spend as much time as they can with our future child and teach them about music.

What Led Us To Adoption

Shortly after we met, we talked about our long-term goals in life. Aside from a happy marriage, becoming parents was on the top of our lists. We both come from large families who are supportive of all of our aspirations in life. Shortly after we got married, we started researching different adoption options, and we decided a private adoption was best for us. We really like that we get to work with a mother to make sure we are able to ensure our values and traditions are similar so we can honor her.
