About Me

Hello! I am a sweet, gentle veterinarian living in the Northwest. I made my career choice as an energetic ten-year-old, and I haven’t looked back! It has been very fulfilling working with animals every day as well as the people. My own little white dog, Barry, and I go on many adventures together. We love to be active. In my free time, I also enjoy meal prepping, baking, quilting, and growing flowers, my favorite being forget-me-nots. My family is very loving and supportive, and I spend as much time with them as I can. My love language is giving, so I’m often doing things for them as well as others. My current project is to make Valentine’s Day cards for the residents of a local nursing home. It’s going to be so much fun!

My Home & Pets

I live in a moderate-sized city. My bungalow house is in a well-established, quiet neighborhood, and it has served me well for several years. However, I’m actually building a new house right outside of town. It is on 24 acres and will be finished in the summer of 2023. I’m so excited! The new school district will have small class sizes, and I will still be close to the city with all of its amenities. My favorite thing about my city is all of the parks and swimming pools that are free for us to use. I can’t forget to mention that Barry adores kids, along with everyone else he meets.

My Extended Family

I am the oldest of six kids. We’re very spread apart in age. My brother is the youngest, and he is sixteen. Because I was already an adult when my youngest siblings came into the family, I’ve taken each of them on individual vacations over the years. That’s been a lot of fun. It’s just great getting to spend time with them. A couple of my siblings have kids, and it’s been such a wonderful experience being an aunt. I have strong relationships with all of my siblings and their kids. In fact, I work with the sister closest in age to me. She’s a veterinarian too.

My parents live only ten minutes from my current house. They will live just down the road from my new house, and I’m so excited for that. I visit them all the time. We all congregate at my parents’ house for holidays and celebrations. My favorite tradition, though, comes every summer. We caravan to the nearby amusement park as a family and spend the entire day there. The kids have a blast! Actually, the adults do too.

What Led Me To Adoption

Four of my younger siblings were adopted through the foster care system. My family would not be the same without them! They have been a blessing and just a pure joy. I’ve thought about adopting a child myself since I was quite young. Now that I am more settled in my career, I feel I’m finally ready to take this next step in my life. After a lot of time in prayer and contemplation, I am certain this is the right path for me. I long to be a mother!
