dear expectant mother

Thank you for taking the time to review our profile as you consider a future for your child. We cannot begin to imagine the emotions you are going through, and we can’t begin to express how courageous you are for considering such a selfless decision. Your strength is extremely admirable, and we are committed to supporting you through this in every way.

We have been together for almost ten years, and our hope to expand our family grows each year. “Family” means more to us than trips home for holidays. Our strong, everyday ties to our family are what led us to begin our adoption journey. Their unconditional love and encouragement give us strength as we navigate life and inspire us to create that environment for a child of our own. If chosen, we would be completely thrilled to accept your child into our family, surround them with love and acceptance, and teach them what we value most: independence, compassion, and kindness-–with a backbone. Your child’s home with us will be filled with endless laughs, an excitement for the world and the adventures it brings, and, more than anything, the deepest love and acceptance for the unique, perfect person they are.

Thank you again for getting to know us as you make your decision. Above all, we hope it’s clear how much we respect your bravery and strength as well as how intensely loved your child will be by our entire village. We can’t wait to meet them!

Your strength is extremely admirable, and we are committed to supporting you through this in every way.

About Us

As so many do today, we met online, nearly ten years ago. Since our first date, we have been nearly inseparable. We got engaged in the fall of 2019 with plans to marry the following spring, but those plans did not pan out! After two years of waiting out the pandemic, we finally married in 2022. Tyler has worked in retail management for the past 12 years. Alan has been a small business owner and software engineer for over 20 years. We both share a passion for trying new things and experiencing all the world has to offer. A year for us isn’t complete without a vacation with our extended family, a concert or two, a trip to a museum or show, a hike to a waterfall, a new stamp in our passports, or a new favorite restaurant. We can’t wait to instill our excitement for the world in a little one of our own.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood within minutes of our city park, with a beautiful waterslide and swimming pool, playgrounds, hiking trails, fitness center, and disc golf course. Nearby there are several state and national parks with one-of-a-kind views and experiences that we visit often. Our home is a four-bedroom, three-bath house with lots of yard space for water balloon/Nerf fights, sledding in the winter, family cookouts, and nights spent staring up at the stars. We have two huskies, Andi and Ellie, as well as four rescue cats: Squirrely, Maia, Callie, and Miranda. They are all very loving and always keep us laughing with their quirky personalities. Every day in our house is filled with laughter, love, and excitement for what the world has in store.

Our Extended Family

We have both been blessed with two great, accepting families. While some folks are spread across the country, the majority of both of our families live less than an hour away. This makes for large (often loud!) family gatherings for the holidays, birthdays, and “just because” get-togethers. Tyler has a brother and sister, both of whom have children three and under. Alan has a sister, who has two adult stepsons. Beyond our direct families, we are godparents to our close friends’ one-year-old son, who has been a great joy to get to know and see become an echo of his parents, whom we love so much.

A baby joining our family will have dozens of cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and close family friends to learn from and be encouraged by. It’s something people throw around a lot, but when we say family is everything to us, we really mean it. Our families are more to us than just a holiday trip two or three times a year; they are a core part of our everyday lives. We can’t wait to build that same environment of support, unconditional love, and encouragement for our child from infancy to adulthood and beyond.

What Led Us To Adoption

Creating a family has always been part of our vision for our future. We have been blessed to grow up with families that instilled the belief that we could do anything we set our minds to, surrounded with love. We want to honor the kindness and love we’ve been shown over the years by building that same environment for a child of our own. Forty years from now, we want to be able to sit on a rooftop with our children, completely content and loved, just like we do right now with our family. We’re both believers in leaving the world a better place than we found it. Raising a child who values compassion, curiosity, family, and gratitude for all life brings seems like the best way to do just that.
