dear expectant mother

To a Loving Mother,

Words cannot begin to express our appreciation for you. We feel honored and blessed that you would consider us to raise your baby. If you choose us, we promise your child will grow up in a safe and loving environment. We cannot wait to take them along with us on our camping adventures and teach them a love and appreciation for our beautiful world.

Vanessa is currently furthering her education to be a pediatric nurse practitioner so that Valerie can be a stay-at-home mom to provide the love, attention, and support a growing child needs. Our proximity to Vanessa’s family will also mean frequent visits with Grandma and Grandpa.

We cannot wait to meet you and learn more about you. Although we have not met yet, we already admire your strength and courage.

If you choose us, we promise your child will grow up in a safe and loving environment. We cannot wait to take them along with us on our camping adventures and teach them a love and appreciation for our beautiful world.

About Us

Vanessa was born and raised in Southern California. She is a registered nurse and has worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for almost four years. Vanessa is currently studying to be a pediatric nurse practitioner and, as a lifelong athlete, regularly practices Brazilian jiu jitsu. Valerie was born and raised in Washington State, but her love for the arts, along with food and beverage, drew her to New York City, where she lived and worked as a Maitre D’ for seven years. Although she loved the big city, in 2015 she decided to search for a more permanent home in sunny California, where we met. Our love grew quickly over a shared passion for the outdoors and many camping trips. We are both such avid campers and backpackers that after getting married in 2019, we decided to honeymoon in the backcountry of beautiful Zion National Park!

Our Home & Pets

We currently live in an adorable two-bedroom house in California with our two small dogs, Luciana and Linus. Our large backyard is the perfect place for our pups to play while we garden or simply enjoy the sunshine. Our neighborhood is walkable, safe, and perfect for families. It is very common to see the neighborhood kids playing in their yards or riding around on bikes. We look forward to including our future child on our weekly hikes on the local hiking trails, along with our trips to the beach, which is only a short drive away.

Our Extended Family

We are very close to both of our families. Valerie’s parents live in Washington State, and when we visit, one of our favorite things to do with them is go fishing. Vanessa’s parents and younger brother live about twenty minutes away, and if you cannot tell from the pictures, they are huge LA Rams fans! They love spending weekends together watching football. One of their annual traditions is to go watch the Rams play an away game, and they look forward to continuing this tradition in the future. Both our parents are very excited for the new addition to the family!

What Led Us To Adoption

We have always discussed the desire to start a family together, so shortly after getting married, we explored our options. We initially tried IUI, but after multiple failed attempts, we knew adoption was going to be the right path for us. As a NICU nurse, Vanessa has seen many children go through the adoption process, and both of us have shared the overwhelming desire to follow the beautiful path of adoption to grow our family.
